✞ chapter one ✞
the brunette boy smiled as he stood up ahead of the mirror, staring at his reflection. from head to toe, he couldn't help but smile at his self. finally, he can go back to work again. he stepped outside when he described something.
"oh, silly me. how could i forget?" his feet brought him to the darkroom at the end of the hallway, knocking on the door. figuring out that no one answered, he decided to just barge in. his eyes glimmered when he saw the peaceful-looking boy laying down on the bed.
he tiptoed closer and kissed his forehead carefully, scared that he could wake him up. thinking out that he didn't move, he slowly made his way out and closed the door.
it's been a year since jeongguk was banned from going back to the hospital. he didn't know the reason why, but he was accused of the crime that happened back 15 months ago. he's never a part of the crime, but he decided to sit back and take a rest from all the things that happened. lucky for his dear boyfriend, taehyung. he might be asleep most of the time but he's still there to comfort him.
how can you blame a psychologist for a crime that he didn't know about?
"good morning, ms. oh." jeongguk merrily approached the lady, who nodded at him with a smile plastered on her face.
"it's been a while, dr. jeon. it's nice to see you back here."
their conversation got interrupted when the telephone rang, so he bid his goodbye quickly and made his way towards his office, and dropped his belongings down. as soon as he sat down, someone barged into his office and threw him a bag of food.
"i got you fries." the boy named hoseok leaned down on the couch, casually lifting his feet, and scrolled down his phone. he couldn't help but laugh at his friend, he's so close to everyone that he'll just barge in every room every time he wanted.
"oh, and welcome back my dear friend. you doing good?" hoseok looked upon him, seeing jeongguk taking a bite from his fries.
"of course, i'm always good."
the two continued and talked about random things, 'till it hits lunch break. jeongguk had to check his schedule and found out he had one, and it'll be in an hour. well, not that far, isn't it?
he stood up and was quickly followed by hoseok who stuffed a lollipop inside his mouth.
