Crawling back to you D.M

Start from the beginning

"Are you having fun, darling?" Blaise asks, handing you a cup of butter beer.

"I suppose Slytherin does have some taste with how this place looks" you muse teasingly, not missing the playful scowl that settles on his face. "Did Pansy do this on her own or did she threaten the first years?"

"That, my love, is not something I am willing to admit sober" he says, giving your hip a squeeze.

You hum in amusement, your eyes flickering around the room as he falls into an easy conversation with some other Slytherin beside him. You don't miss the stares - don't miss the way people are trying to analyze just how you got Blaise Zabini to hold you so closely and so openly.

It had been easy, really. Blaise was trying to get some Ravenclaw fifth year who seemed quite flighty, and you were trying to show Draco just what he was missing. Nothing bad had happened - save for some of the dirty looks some guys sent your way. Though, you truly think it's solely because Blaise had gotten to you before some others could. It leaves a bit of a bitter feeling in your chest, one that tightens when you catch Draco's eye.

You raise your eyebrow at him, a silent question passing between the two of you.

See what you could've had?

He looks away first, a sour look settling on his face as he takes a gracious drink from his cup. You huff a little, turning in Blaise's grasp and handing him your now empty cup. "I'm going to excuse myself for a bit, yeah?" you mumble softly.

He sends you a sympathetic look. "If it's any consolation, he'll probably be right behind you. Don't give in too easily, you hear?" he murmurs, pressing one last kiss to your temple before releasing you.

You all but ignore Seamus' attempt to grab your attention, sending him a fleeting, apologetic smile over your shoulder before disappearing entirely from the Slytherin common room. You move quickly through the halls, wanting to at least make it to the girls' room before Draco is shoving you into a wall, demanding you tell him exactly when you decided to seduce his best friend.

You barely make it through the door before two hands grab your shoulders and spin you. Your back hits the wall dully, your eyes snapping up to meet the dark grey ones of Draco, turmoil boiling in them. You had him right where you wanted him.

"Dare I ask why exactly Zabini had you wrapped in his arms back there?" he asks, voice low and full of warning.

You smile a little, tipping your head to the side. "He asked me on a date, I said yes. Turns out not all Slytherins are afraid to show off their Gryffindor lover."

Draco growls at that, the noise rumbling deep in his throat. His hands move quickly, one wrapping around your waist, tugging you so your flush to him, the other cupping the side of your neck. His eyes flicker over yours for a moment, a flash of an emotion in them you can't decipher has your will power slipping a bit.

"Do you think you're smart?" he snaps. "Zabini has his eye on that blonde from Ravenclaw, has for a month now. What makes you think he won't drop you the second she realizes she likes him back?"

You laugh a little, eyes twinkling with mischief as your hand comes up to settle over his, your fingers digging into his skin a little. You lean up your toes, your lips brushing over the shell of his ear. "I have my eye on a blond, too...except, he's from Slytherin."

Everything clicks then for Draco. You were more cunning than he had expected, willing to stoop down to his level and match his every move. Your fingers curl into the collar of his shirt, your hips rolling into his. His eyes flutter shut for a moment, his breath catching in his throat. "Do you think I've got his attention now?" you whisper, lips dragging down his jawline slowly.

Draco pushes you further into the wall, his leg slotting between your thighs. His eyes are dark and full of desire when they meet yours once more, his lips moving to ghost over yours, a breathy moan finally passing your lips. "Pretty sure you've got all of his attention...and more" he murmurs, pressing his hips into yours. "What do I have to do to get you to take me home?"

You almost purr at his words, a warmth curling in the pit of your stomach knowing you've won this round. You press your chest to his, your fingers tangling in the hair at the base. "Tell everyone you're mine?" You murmur gently, the bite from earlier replaced by a tinge of uncertainty.

Draco pulls back a little, his eyes landing on yours. There's a softness there, a vulnerability you haven't seen before. He hums a little, his thumb hooking under your chin. He tilts your head upwards until he captures your lips in a passionate, needy kiss. You forget your question entirely when his hands slid over your hips.

You'd deal with the disappointment in the morning.

-

You're sitting between Hermione and Ron, head propped in your hand when it happens. You're half awake, honestly, barely taking in the endless information Hermione is spewing at you when two warm hands land on your shoulder. You turn slowly, half expecting Fred. Your eyes widen when you realize it's not him, mouth dropping a little at the sight of Draco.

What the hell was he doing?

"Hi, love" he murmurs. He doesn't seem fazed by the gawking and stares of practically everyone around you as he drops a kiss to your cheek, his eyes soft. "Meet me in the library after defense against the dark arts? I got some candy from Honeydukes and could use some company."

You nod stupidly, eyes still wide and cheeks burning red. Your mouth snaps shut when he leans down and kisses you, his hand resting on your cheek for a moment. It's soft and to the point; you're his. He pulls back and smiles down at you, dropping a subtle wink before he joins Pansy and Blaise, stalking out of the great hall and out of sight.

The endless questions thrown at you are more tolerable now, that his searing kiss and dark eyes weren't a secret anymore.
