Part 2

We're heading in for surgery.
"Dallas you ready?" I ask
"Yes ofc, thank you for this opportunity" Mike say
"No worries" I say and try to smile through our mask
"It's a great morning to save lives" Derek start.
"Dr Dallas come and take over for me" I say
"But I'm only an intern" Mike say
"I know but I'm a teacher, so get in there now" I say
"Ok thank you L/N" he say
"No problem, but you better don't mess up" I say
"I won't" Mike say. They go on and I observe from the corner of Mike, so I'm ready if Derek needs me.
"Son of a..." Derek starts but stops himself "L/N take a look at this please" I walk over to take a look
"Damn" I say
"I'm sorry dr Dallas, I need dr L/N" Derek say
"No Dallas can do it" I say and nod at Derek
"Ok Dallas I need you to hold this very still, do not move a muscle" Derek say
"You can do this" I say comforting him
"Ok yea ofc" Mike say taking the clamp
"Good job" I say.
"We have a bleeder" Derek say "clamp here"
"You sure dr L/N shouldn't take over" Mike ask
"I'm not going to take over" I say
"Ok ofc, I can do this" Mike say
"Yep, gotta work fast" Derek say. They get the bleeders under control, and finish the surgery.
"You did it" I say
"Thank you both for letting me do this" Mike say
"That's our job" I say
"Actually it's only your job" Derek say
"Shut it" I say and Derek laugh
"I really hope you enjoyed this, because I'm bummed about not getting to do this" I say
"I am" Mike assures me.
"Dr Dallas go with Derek and tell the parents about what happened today" I say
"Shouldn't you do it?" Mike ask
"You performed the surgery didn't you?" I ask
"Yes I did" Mike say
"Then go with Derek" I say and he leaves with Derek. I watch them tell the parents, mr and Mrs Ward getting so happy. I love my job. I page all my interns.
"Great you're all here" I start "Dr Dallas here just saved a patient today, you wanna know how?"
"Yes" They all say
"The patient was a 13 year old boy, brain tumor the size of a tennis ball. I let Dallas do my job because I trust him in an OR, if you want to be in an OR gain my trust" I say and leave. I'm the best teacher.
"Y/N, you chose a good one" Derek say
"I know, I'm perfect" I say
"Hm nah" Derek tease
"Shut your mouth" I state
"Aw our love birds" Mark join the conversation
"No" I say and Derek just laugh
"Lunch?" Mark ask
"Yess I'm starving" I say
"Me too" Derek say. We go to the cafeteria and eat lunch together, and tell each other about our day.
"Dang, gotta go" I say
"What's wrong?" Mark ask
"911 Alyssa Williams" I say and run to her room.
"She started seizing" Jake say
"What happened dr Rivera" I yell
"I don't know, she have been fine all day" Jake say
"Give her some Topamax and get her to OR 1" I say
"Ok" Noami say
"I only need one, who wanna come" I ask
"Dr Sanders" Jake say
"What?" I ask
"I obviously missed something" Jake say
"Ok Dr Sanders it is, oh and thanks to both of you for taking care of her" I say
We take her to OR 1 and start surgery.
"Dr Sanders?" I ask
"Yes" Noami answer
"You wanna do this?" I ask
"But what if I make a mistake?" She ask
"You won't" I say and hand over the surgery to her
"Thank you" Noami say
"Ok, find the tumor" I say
"Found it" Noami say
"Great now grab it with your left arm, make sure to keep your right arm still so you can see" I teach
"I got it" Noami say
"Now take it out slowly, if you do it fast you will kill her" I say
"Ok" Noami say
"If you touch the walls you will kill her too" I say
"I don't think I can do this" Noami say
"I wouldn't have let you if I didn't think you could do it" I assure her
"Ok I got this" Noami say and successfully takes out the tumor.
"BP's and hearth beat is dropping" your scrub nurse Tazia say
"What happened" I ask
"Nothing, nothings wrong" Noami say
"I need to see" I say and look "nothing is wrong"
"BP's still dropping" Tazia say
"Her hearth" I say "page Dr Powell 911 now" I yell
"She's in surgery dr L/N" another nurse say
"I gotta open her up" I say "page Mia"
"Will do" the nurse say
"Noami I need your help know" I say
"Ok" Noami say
"When I open her up her hearth will have bleeder, stop it" I say and cut her open
"Ok, I just can't find the bleeder" Noami say
"Mia try" I say and Mia goes in
"Found it" Mia say
"Great" I say and fix her hearth
"She's stabilizing" Tazia say
"Thank you, we just saved her" I say "I'll finish"
"Ok" Noami and Mia say and leave.

Two tumors removed in a day, I'm in heaven.
"Derek!" I say and run to him
"Yes?" He ask
"I've been in two tumor removals today" I say
"What! Lucky, I've done paperwork" Derek complain
"Ha loser" I say
"You're a really good teacher" Derek say
"Well yeah it's a bummer, I just want to remove a damn tumor myself" I complain
"Then do it" Derek say
"I gotta teach my interns" I say
"Oh c'mon" Derek say
"It's okay I enjoy watching them success" I say
"You're a good person" Derek say
"I know" I say and leave. I page my interns down so they can do my paperwork for me, the good thing about interns. They come having an exited look on their faces, like their gonna perform a surgery.
"I need someone to do my paperwork, I don't have time. I gotta teach you guys" I say
"Seriously that's why you pages us?" Mia say
"Yep and for that attitude you can do it" I say
"That's not fair, you can't do that" Mia say
"Oh I can, I'm your attending" I say, I really don't like Mia. She deserved it, she's good but too selfish.
"Dr Dallas you have Troy, Dr Sanders you have Alyssa, Dr Rivera Dr Chang come with me" I say
"Why are we doing?" Wei ask
"Train wreck" I say
"That's not fair, you need everyone" Mia complain
"Nope, Dr Dallas and Dr Sanders you're gonna come help when you're done, I've got enough" I say, and leave. That beat. I might have been a little too harsh, but she didn't have any respect. We go to the Pit and see the hurt patient rushing in.
"Help where you can" I say and go find some patients to help.
"Hello sir can you remember your name?" I ask
"Dave, Dave Johnson" Mr Johnson say
"Perfect mr Johnson can you look up for me" I ask
"Call me Dave please" Dave ask
"Dave can you look up for me?" I ask again and he looks up
"Follow my finger" I say and he do as told
"Is everything ok?" Dave ask
"Yes, I will find a nurse to take care of you" I say
"Thank you so much dr?" He ask
"Dr L/N" I answer and leave to find another patient.
"L/N!" Dr Rogers yell
"Yes?" I ask
"Massive head injuries" Dr Rogers say
"Ok got it" I say
"Can I leave?" Dr Rogers ask
"Yes" I say and he leave "sir do you remember your name?" I ask
"I I- no I'm sorry" he say
"No worries, I'll be right back" I say and find a nurse "I'm sorry can you help me?" I ask
"Yes ofc dr L/N" the nurse say
"He don't remember his name, see if you can find his family" I say and she does as told. I go back.
"Can you remember what happened?" I ask
"I I- was l- reading a book, and then I was in the ambulance and now here" he say
"That's great, we're trying to find your family so we can know your name" I say
"Thank you" he say
"Order a CT scan and page Shepard" I say and go to find another person to help.
"Hello miss Lavigne, I'm Dr L/N" I say

"Kate please" Kate say
"Ok Kate, where is your pain?" I ask
"It's not bad, just some bruises" Kate say
"We will need to stitch this cut" I tell her
"Ok" Kate say
"Your CT scan of John Doe is here" a nurse tells me
"Thank you, can you stitch her up?" I ask
"Ofc" the nurse say
"Thank you, bye Kate" I say and go to the CT scan
"Shepard" I greet Derek
"L/N" he greets me
"So what do we have" I ask
"Internal bleeding in the right side of the brain, and a concussion" Derek say
"So the concussion is the reason of his memory loss?" I ask
"I think so" Derek answer
"Ok great, then he'll get it back" I say
"You're doing this yourself I have enough patients to help, don't let your interns do it" Derek say
"Ok" I say. We take him to an OR.
"Let's begin" I say and we start operating on him
"Bleeder" I yell
"BP's dropping" Tazia say
"I can't get control of the bleeder" I say...

A/N: cliffhanger very much :) this was a long part, but I wanted a cliffhanger. Do we need to be nicer to Mia?
