Y/N's pov:
I was on my way home from my friends house because I had stayed the night, and now mum wanted me home as we had somewhere to be. To say I wasn't in the greatest mood was an understatement- my Uber was 20mins late and let's just say my mum wasn't exactly happy about it, plus I didn't really like taxis, I hadn't heard the best things about them so they always scared me.

We were around 5 mins away from home, and I was still anxious about the whole being in a taxi thing, with a strange man who I didn't know. I decided to call my mum to try and reduce my anxiety.

"Hi mum, I'm around 5 mins away"
"Okay darling, are you ready to leave straight away or do you have things to do"
"No mum, we can leave straight -

That's the last thing I said before slipping in and out of consciousness, bright lights and sirens blaring around me.

Scarlett's pov:
I was sat waiting for my daughter to come home. It had been pretty lonely without her, even though she was only gone for 2 days, I still missed her a lot. She was running late, which made me a bit irritable but I understood - she was taking a taxi. They weren't always the most reliable things. We were going out for dinner with the marvel cast as we hadn't seen them for ages, and we were already late for it.

I was in a world of my own when I got a call from Y/N. "Hi mum, I'm around 5 mins away" she told me, her happy voice warming my heart. "Okay darling, are you ready to leave straight away or do you have things to do?" I asked her. She took a few seconds before answering "No mum we can leave straight -

Then all I heard was screeching of wheels, some screaming and then a crash. I instantly knew what had happened. Tears welled up in my eyes and began streaming down my face. I didn't know what to do. I had no idea where she was, what hospital she would go to, or if she'd be okay.

I felt like I couldn't breathe, my chest was tight and my eyesight was blurry. After 5 mins I managed to calm my breathing and answer my phone that was ringing. It was the police. They told me where she was and that I should come straight away. I did. I got into the car and drove to the hospital as fast as I could.

I ran to the front desk and asked what room she was in. Once they had told me, I swiftly walked to her room and prepared myself before opening the door.

When I did, I was greeted with my daughter laying on the bed - an oxygen mask covering her mouth, cuts and bruises all over her face, and her leg in a cast. She looked so tiny in her hospital gown. The sight of her made me burst into tears.

I sat next to her bed and held her hand, waiting for when she would wake up.

>time skip to when she wakes up<

I must have fallen asleep because I awoke to my daughter staring at me and gripping onto my hand for dear life. I rubbed my thumb over her knuckles, trying to calm her down, when in reality I wasn't calm myself. After a few minutes of being sat in silence, a doctor came in and told me everything that was wrong.

It wasn't as bad as it seemed, which reassured me. He said that she could go home tomorrow, but she would have to stay overnight just to make sure she's okay. I thanked the doctor before making my way over to my daughters bed.

She moved up knowing what I wanted to do. I pulled the covers down and got in next to her, us both falling asleep writhing minutes.

Authors note
