Chapter 2: Condolence

I was awakened by a loud knock on the door. Bumukas iyon at iniluwa niyon si mommy, daddy, at Nana Mima. Eh akala ko nasa Boracay sila para sa bussines chuchu este business deal nang may-ari non.

"JAMIY KIREA MITCH GOMEZ what in the world did you dooo!!!!", Sigaw ni mommy. Uh oh what did I do.

"Mommy, daddy I thought your in Boracay", kalmado Kong tanong.

"You're expelled Jamiy Kirea Mitch", seryosong sabi ni dad completely ignoring my question. And double uh oh full name he's mad.

"We WERE in Boracay but when your principal texted me, we rode our private jet just to get here fast", si mommy na ang sumagot sa tanong ko, emphasizing the were. triple uh oh I'm in trouble.

"Your principal texted us na binugbog mo daw ang anak niya at ang mga kaibigan nang anak niya", hystirikang saad ni mommy. Napatingin naman ako kay Nana Mima, bakas ang pag-aalala sa mukha niya. I just nodded at her to let her know I'm fine. Ayaw na ayaw ko kung kinaka-awaan ako. But hindi ako galit Kay Nana concern lang siya kasi siya ang  nag-alaga sakin mula pa moong bata pa ako.

"But mom they starte—", my dad cut my words short. Hay Kay dad lang talaga ako tiklop.  Parehas kasi kaming hindi ngumungiti ang pinagkaiba lang, si dad serious face ako pokerface. Pero okey atleast parehas kaming may face hakhak. Ewwwww korny mo selp.

"I don't care who started it, the fact that you faught them and getting expelled is enough reason for me to get mad at you young lady", napayuko nalang ako sa sinabi ni dad. Hindi naman ako yung gumulpi sa kanila eh si Hoop kaya, I guess she's experiencing the same situation as I am now.

Hindi naman na bago sakin ang maexpel. Kina mommy at daddy din. Hindi ko na mabilang kong ilang beses na akong naexpel. Dun kasi sa mga dati Kong eskwelahan ang mga istudyante spoiled brats, binayaran nila ang eskwelahan para maexpel kami ni Hoop. At dahil sa Likas na mukhang pera ang principal tinanggap niya ang pera at pinatalsik kami sa school kaya ayun Todo hanap nang bagong University ang mga magulang namin ni Hoop.

Pero ngayon lang ako naexpel nang dahil sa away, kaya ayun galit sina mommy at daddy.

"You'll be grounded until we find a school that accepts late transferies like you and Samantha, we also need to find a school who accepts students with bad records", maawtoridad na sabi ni daddy kaya wala na akong magagawa. And also did he just say Samantha and me in the same school. Mabuti naman at kasama ko Paden si bruhang Hula-hoop.

I somehow felt relieved because I still have Hoop with me. Akala ko ihihiwalay nila kami nang school eh.

Hay being expelled in that school of sluts and assholes  may be a good thing for me but the disappointment and frustration that I saw in my parent's eyes somehow had an impact on me, to be specific it saddened me.

Nakalabas na sila mommy at daddy. Si Nana Mima naman ay lumapit sa akin, umupo siya sa aking kama at hinaplos ang aking buhok.

"Magiging okey din ang lahat hija," malumanay na sambit ni Nana Mima, walang bakas nang disappointment o frustration, wala rin sa boses niya ang pagkagalit sakin dahil sa nangyari. Acceptance and understanding are visible in her soft voice.

"Thank you Nana," sagot ko sakanya, she  just smiled at me and kissed the top of my head.

I always adore how my Nana can keep herself calm and reserved. In situations like this she the one who comforts me even if I don't show her that I need someone by my side. Sinubukan ko siyang gayahin but then it came out—no I came out wrong, I became silent and emotionless. Hindi ko na sinubukang baguhin ulit yung sarili ko, because I kinda like myself right now.
