Oh boy, this was going to be a long day.

[Vic]

I don't understand why Jaime wanted me to lie just so he could get this girl.

A girl that he claims to have feelings for, but I know they're not the feelings he had for me. These are just the I-want-to-get-over- you-so-I'll-get-with-anyone-I-can type of feelings.

I know him better than that.

I guess I'll just have to play a long, so that at least he'll be happy with someone that won't cause him as much pain as I have.

The things you do for love.

We walked in quietly. Jaime behind Audrey and me behind Jaime.

There was an empty booth at the left corner of the place so we sat there.

'You two sit in front of me.' Audrey said as she sat down.

We nodded and Jaime went in first.

---

[Jaime]

'Talk to me. What did Jessica mean when she said have fun fucking Fuentes?'

'Well Audrey you see, I kinda lied to you about the whole Fuenciado deal.'

'You did?'

'Yeah.. Uhm, Fuenciado was real. We dated for two years then I uh asked him to marry me.' I said, looking up at Audrey, her mouth now open wide. 'Unfortunately, all of that came to an end when Vic realized he no longer had feelings for me and would rather be with a girl.'

'Is this true Vic?' Audrey asked him.

I looked at him expectantly, hoping he would remember what I had told him.

'Yes, I guess it was just a phase. You really don't have to worry about me. I won't try to take Jaime away from you, I don't want him to be unhappy.'

She sat back without an expressionless look on her face.

The rest of lunch went without a word.

---

The drive back home was very awkward.

Audrey made Vic sit in the back while I had to sit next to her. I guess the we-don't-have-feelings-for-each-other-anymore speech didn't help.

'Thanks for bringing us back here. Are you coming to the show tonight?' I asked as Audrey pulled up.

'No, I have something to take care of. I'll see you guys' set tomorrow though.'

'That's what I wanted to talk to you about.' I said as I looked at Vic, he nodded so I looked back at her. 'We leave for Australia tomorrow.'

'Oh.. So does this mean you'll leave to the U.S. after?'

'Pretty much..'

'I-I'm gonna miss you.'

'I'll miss you too, but we can Skype and call each other. And I'll even fly you in to California before Valentine's Day.'

'Okay. I'm gonna miss you, don't forget that.' she said before leaning in and pressing her lips to mine.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Vic rolling his eyes and crossing his arms in front of him. I really didn't mean to be making him uncomfortable, but it seemed like Audrey did this on purpose.

I pulled back, "smiling" at her widely.

'See you soon babe.' I said, now that, I did on purpose.
