Aria's POV

I bounced down the stairs and headed to the hotel bar. "Let's grab a drink yay!" "I think you're happier to meet the alcohol than Lucas!", Alison sneered and followed me to the counter. "Hey, bro!", I greeted Lucas and sat down on a bar stool. "Hey girls, have you made yourself a home yet?" "Pretty much so", Ally replied confidently and smiled. I bet she was not that confident inside right now. "You already have a kiwi accent, dude! I pity you for losing the aussie accent", I whined and faked a crying face. "I'm proud to be Kiwi! I have never been Australian. My parents just moved there for a job!", he countered laughing. "Traitor!" He was still as fun as back in the old days when Ally and him were going out and we three hung out together 24/7. The bartender already put some drinks down in front of us. "But we haven't ordered yet?", Ally said confused. "I ordered the best drink in Auckland for you!", Lucas boasted grinning. "What is it?" "Well, drink it! Don't ask - It's delicious! You will want more of it!" I looked at the weird looking cocktail in my hand. Will I die after drinking this? This looks like some sort of poison right out of a horror movie. "You sure that it's drinkable? I'm sure you wanna kill us secretly...", I giggled and sniffed at the edge of my glass. "Find out", he murmured grinning. "Cheers, Ally! Let's try to survive!" I raised my glass and tossed it down. Lucas stared at me and whispered to Alison. "Is she always going hardcore?" "Well, we're not allowed to drink often so it's usually all or none", Alison laughed. I was glad that she slowly started to feel at ease. "So what happened after you moved back to New Zealand?", she asked curiously. "Well, not too much to be honest. I finished high school and started to work for my parents. They want me to take over the hotel in the future. I'm okay with that. The hotel is my home and I like the work here. And maybe I'll find a nice girlfriend that will support me", he explained. "You don't have a girlfriend?", Alison continues asking. "Well, nope. In high school I was a bit of an outsider coz I have lived in Australia for nearly 10 years and everyone already had their group of friends. But I didn't bother as I only needed to finish school. That was only a year so I survived haha. And now I don't really get to meet anyone except hotel guests". "Could be a romance, eh? The hotel guest and the employee", I laughed and wiggled my eyebrows. "The problem is that our hotel is quite expensive so our standard guests are old, rich, married couples". He laughed as well. Suddenly my phone vibrated. "Sorry, needa catch that" "Go ahead" But the call had already ended. It had been Channie.
