Marisol

Feeding Mila pretzels trying to calm her down, I started to look for Talia. While trying to find Talia I ran into Sofia.

"Hey sister, are you okay?" She asks looking between Mila and I.

"Have you seen Talia? Mom or Dad?" I asked looking around

"Mom and dad are on the dance floor, and I think Talia was with some blonde dude." She says point behind her.

You're okay, he can't hurt you just breathe and relax you're safe.

"Okay if you see Talia can you tell her I'm looking for her near the bar area or outside where we took pictures." I said looking at her before walking out.

Instead of heading towards the bar, I thought it would be a good idea for the both of us to get some fresh air. Heading to the far side of the porch outside I sit on the bench with Mila. Feeding her pretzels while looking at the chocolate all over her face reminded me of what life could've been like if I didn't force him to leave.

Getting off the bench Mila decides to stand for a bit while holding onto the edge and bounce up and down. Looking at the time it was almost time for Mila to go to bed, but it looks like she'll be up later than usual tonight.

Thinking about my interaction with Josh I touch my arm to feel a sore spot. Keeping my hand on the sore spot I look at Mila, thinking about how I would never want her to go through what I went through with Josh. Even if he didn't mean it, I still felt at fault.

"Mama" Mila said sticking her hand out.

"Here you go bug." I said handing her a pretzel once again.

Watching her continue to bounce while eating made me smile. Looking out to the field of tall grass and flowers always made me wonder what life would be like in the country. Maybe moving out of the city and settling down in the country could be good.

Snapping me out of my thoughts was Mila hitting my thigh, giving me a tired face. Putting the pretzels aside I pull her up against my chest and she lays her head on the crook of my neck. Rubbing her back up and down for her to slowly fall asleep.

After a few minutes of rubbing her back and starting at the sun setting, her breathing starts to become steady letting me know she fell asleep. Laying my head against hers I heard footsteps coming towards me. Lifting my head to meet eyes with Talia.

"Hey" She whispered looking at Mila, "Sorry I didn't come out earlier. Niall and Harry kept me busy for awhile."

"It's all good." I said laying my head back on top of Milas.

"Did something bad happen" she said wrapping her arm around me.

"Mila was having this strange meltdown," I started, lifting my head and leaning in towards Talia. Telling her everything that happened from running into Sofia to Mila being a distraction from Josh.

"Call me crazy, but it seems like she doesn't like Josh." She said sound shocked.

"I wouldn't blame her, but I still have this guilt eating at me from earlier when he asked about her." I said lifting my head and looking at her.

"Well, on the bright side she likes Niall aaannnddd Harry." She said wiggling her eyebrows at me

"Oh shuddup, she just loves attention." I said knowing it was a lying.

"What do you think about Harry?" She asks tone becoming a bit more serious.

"He seems like a great guy Tully. But I don't know him to date him. What if we went on a date and I come home covered in red because he killed someone and I helped?" I said looking at her

"First of all what the actual fuck is wrong with you. Second cute to see you thought of going on a date." She says nudging her body against mine.

Sitting here was something so normal to me. Even if it was us on the couch watching whatever cartoon Mila was watching before she fell asleep, to sitting outside a wedding venue talking about psyco-killers.

Listening to the muffled music and Milas soft snores reminded me of how Talia was with Niall and Harry before coming out here.

"Shouldn't you be with Niall and Harry?" I asked breaking the silence

"Nah, you needed me more than they needed me. Plus, I think Mila needed more of Harry than Josh." She said bringing up Harry as an option once again

"On second though I'm all better, I no longer need you." I said getting up while holding Mila causing her to laugh.

With Talia walking in front we made our way back over to the table I was sitting at with my parents. Only to see them talking to the bride and groom. Sitting down, Talia sits next to me and looks around as if she was looking for someone.

Out of the corner of my eye I see my cousin Sammy making her way over to us looking all excited to talk to us, only to be pulled away by a few braid maids. Sending me an apologetic smile causing me to shake my head as a way of saying it's okay. Bringing my attention to my phone, it was 8:30 pm.

The next few hours contained of the bride and groom doing traditional dances and traditional wedding things that ran through their families. Sofia had offered to hold Mila while I danced a few times with Talia. The most of the guest had left leaving more of the party animal guest and moms who haven't seen each other in a long time talking.

Heading back to the table with Talia I saw Mila was babbling and laughing with Sofia. Sitting next to them Mila turned her attention towards me and climbing out of Sofias' embrace and made her way onto my lap.

"Traitor. I didn't even think you were funny." Sofia said sitting her tongue out at her.

Sofia blowing raspberries her at turned her head towards me and laughed causing the rest of us to laugh with her. Leaving the table Sofia made her way towards the bar, only for Niall to fill in the seat.

"Hello ladies." He said sending us a smile.

"Hello Niall" Talia and I returned

"Now, I need a favor. Like big time." He said sheepish "Harry is struck talking to his ex at the bar and she won't leave him alone. We even said he has a girlfriend and nada."

"I'm sure Marisol wouldn't mind, right?" She said placing her hand on my shoulder

"Marisol please! I'll repay you anyway please!" He pleaded "Not sexually though."

Looking between him and Talia, I look at Mila who was already looking at me ask if asking me what's happening next.

"I'm doing this because I'm a nice person. We never bring this up" I pointed my finger towards them.

Getting up from the chair with Mila on my hip I made my way towards the bar looking for Harry. Only to see him talking to a girl who had blonde curly hair.

Great. A blonde, should've sent Talia. I thought mentally slapping myself.

After making my way over towards them I had to prepare for the million questions that was to come from her. It's now or never.
