I got back with Aaliyah again.
She still fought in a low, seething voice, but her words stung less.
I was used to them, grew immune to her venom.
Gia smiled at me and my heart skipped a beat. My hand was holding Aaliyah's.
Madeline giggled real cute and my face flushed warm. Aaliyah's lips were on my neck.
A waitress at Applebee's had hips so wide, my mouth may have watered. Aaliyah and I were on a one month anniversary date.
Aaliyah smiled and I smiled back instinctively. My heartrate did not stall nor speed.
Aaliyah chittered, in the exact same way as Madeline, at something I said. I thought she sounded ridiculous.
Aaliyah swayed her hips while I was dancing with her at a club. My mouth was dry and frowning.
We weren't meant to last. We had no connection, I didn't enjoy her company anymore.
I was miserable and she was angry.
It was no surprise when we parted ways, wishing each other the best, silently defeated.
