I woke up with a pounding headache, the potion. I walked down to breakfast in my pajamas,
"Emerald, what the bloody hell happened?" Asked Daphne
"Nothing," I said as I got up and walked out, my arm got pulled to the side.
"I told you to not drink anymore potion" snarled Riddle
"I didn't" I lied through my teeth
"Don't lie" he said shoving my arm and walking away.
I went back to my dorm and laid in bed, staring at the ceiling. It felt like I couldn't move, my eyes were getting very heavy and I heard the door open. My vision sunk into darkness as so did I.
I blinked my eyes as I adjusted the blur to my correct vision.
"Oh good your awake!" Exclaimed Madam Pomfrey
"What happened?" I groaned as I tried to sit up but couldn't
"To many potions to the head", she chuckled then made me sip disgusting medicines
"Who brought me here?"
"Mattheo Riddle, let me just say he's always saving you," she said
"I do not need saving, I'm not some princess," I said to her
"Yes, indeed Emerald," she said giving me another drink of medicine "You need to rest dear" she exclaimed, as soon as she left to go get some more medicine I left.
"Why are you out?" Asked Mattheo as I turned around to face him
"I needed a walk," I said
"I told you not to take any more potion" he sighed
"It helped," I said turning around and started walking
"It almost killed you," he said running to catch up to me
"Why would you care? You probably want me dead"
"I don't want you dead, that's the last thing I want" he mumbled, I stopped at his words
"Good to know," I said then started walking, I looked out the school's window and saw it was dark outside "Have I been out for a day?" I asked him
"Two days" he corrected then walked away
"Goodnight Romeo" I yelled at him
"Goodnight Blackwood" he answered in a neutral voice
"Thank goodness your ok" shouted Daphne as she ran towards me and hugged me
"Daphne you're squeezing me to death" I managed to spit out
"I'm sorry," she said as she let go of me
"What's been happening," I said
"Nothing much, you missed a Hufflepuff party," she said as I shrugged
"Not much of a party girl," I said
"Yeah, right you get wasted then read a book" she laughed walking away
"How many parties are there?" I asked
"The end of school party is coming up," she said eagerly
"Great, that means O.W.Ls are coming up" I groaned
"Oh shut it, we know you're going to get Outstanding's in every class" she exaggerated
"Stop, your making me blush" I covered my cheeks then we both started laughing until we heard yelling coming from the corner
"You mean nothing to me" yelled Riddle
"But I love you" cried a voice that belonged to Astoria
"You don't know what love is," said, Riddle
"Trouble in paradise" whispered Daphne "Come on," she said dragging me away
"Daphne I don't think there was no paradise, to begin with," I said to her
O.W.L's came way too soon for my liking. I studied and studied, if I don't do good then I'm terrible. All day we're testing, test, and more test, how many bloody tests are there?
I waited a week for the O.W.L results to come in and I was not displeased to say. Daphne and I were walking through the halls while she was reading my results, I was guiding her through the crowd so she didn't run into anyone.
"Bloody hell, Outstanding, Outstanding, Outstanding, Outstanding, and how many Outstandings are there?" She asked as she looked up at me with unbelievable eyes
"What did you receive?" I asked bluntly
"All Acceptable and one Outstanding" she grumbled
"What was the Outstanding?"
"Care of Magical Creatures" she mumbled, I chuckled
"Party tonight, you coming?" She asked
"I'll try to make an appearance," I said as we reached the dormitories
"Please come" she begged
"Alright, alright I'll come for a minute" I grumbled as she smiled widely at me

Emerald dress
I walked down the steps and went down to my spot, by the fire. I opened my book and started reading when a crying drunk Astoria came up to me.
"He doesn't love me" she cried as she flew herself onto me. I patted her head,
"There, there"
"How do you do it? Every guy loves you, your pretty, smart, and amazing"
"Dry those tears up love, can't be seen looking like your not worth it," I said drying her mascara with a tissue I found on the floor, not very sanitary but she'll never know.
"Why are you being nice to me?"
"That's a good question, better get going," I said getting up and walking out
"Emerald! Emerald!" I turned around and saw Daphne running towards me "You have been here just for a minute"
"Yes, I did say I would come for a minute, felt like 2 minutes, time does get away from us" I smiled heading towards my dorm
"Oh, well goodnight!" She yelled
"Goodnight!" I yelled back over the loud music blaring in my right eardrum. I hate parties.
