Arriving at the hospital Sherl, Derrl, and Earl were sitting in the waiting room. As Chase and I approached them we gave eachother a big hug. "Where's ma at? Is she okay? Where is that pussy ass nigga?!" Chase said sounding worried and frustrated. This was awful I felt so bad for his mom, all she did was try to get out of a toxic relationship but some toxic people just can't seem to let go.

I'm surprised if this is his first time putting his hands on her. He looks like he's abusive to her, let's hope he's in jail right now because I sure as hell will testify against his ass. "Calm down Chase your mom will be okay." Uncle Earl said trying to comfort Chase. I just sat next to him holding his hand.

"We don't know where Carl is. He just ran away after everything happened. The police are on the look out for him and his car. Poor bastard always fucking up some shit." Earl said shaking his head.

"Reynolds?" I heard a female call out. The nurse approached us with a clipboard in her hand. She had a blank expression on her face.

"That's us. Is my mom okay?" Chase said standing up.

"Your mom is fine, she'll be in the hospital for up to 3 months for healing. Her airway is swollen pretty bad but we were able to get the swelling down. She can barely talk , swallow or breath right now. You can see her if you'd like." The nurse said.

All I did was shake my head at the fact he tried to kill her. She didn't deserve this at all, but thank god she's alive and okay.

"Chase you can see her first." Aunt Sherl said.

Chase sighed and just covered his face. "I'm not prepared for this." Then he started crying. I had to run to his need so I just held him as tight as could rubbing his back. I've never seen him like this, nor do I ever want to. He's been through so much chaos all because of one person. I know he's been holding a lot of feelings over the years.

"We'll need a minute nurse." Derrl said to her then she walked away. Everyone gathered around and hugged.

After a while Chase pulled himself together and went to see Linda. He wanted me to come with him but I didn't feel like I needed to. I wanted him to be alone with her so he can talk to her.

Sitting in the lobby, I just was on my phone texting Liyah to see if everything was okay with her. She ending up calling me so we had a small conversation about her and Carter.

"I think I'm gonna get back with him girl." She said sighing.

"Why when he cheated on you with your friend? Y'all can co parent."

"I know but my child needs a father. If can he help make this baby he can sure help take care of the baby. "

"Okay girl do you. When are you due actually?"

"In 4 more months I'm nervous as hell girl. Please tell me your gonna be there when the baby comes. I ain't got no friends but you. Clair been MIA and you know Raven is in my death note. Triflin bitch."

"Of course I will girl. I'm excited for this lil you. Did you pick out any names yet?"

"Yea I was thinking either Avery ,Tobias or Malakai. What do you think girl?"

" I like Tobias. That sounds cute. I can't wait till he comes."

"I'm nervous as hell girl. I didn't want to be a momma but here I am."

"It's okay girl we aren't prepared for a lot of things but as long as you have the right people around you everything should okay girl, but I gotta go I'm at the hospital with Chase."
