Finding My Way

Temporary

After Clair calling me on some weird shit I had to call Liyah to see if she could come with me, but she didn't answer. So I called Raven even though I ain't talk to her almost a month now. She picked up the phone finally, I was relieved because I am not tryna go by myself if some crazy shit is up at this location.

"Hey girl wassup." She says picking up after the 4th ring.

"So Clair called me on some weird shit.  She sounded very uneasy like she's in a bad situation.

"What do you mean?" She asked. "

"I don't know it sound like she in trouble mind coming with me I don't have weapons but I could use an extra body."

"Yea that's coo I'll be outside waiting let's go save our friend."  She says then we both hang up.

I picked up Raven soon after the phone call and  headed straight to the address. "Oh hey do you know this address 934 Lincoln street?" I asked her as I drove.

"Yea that's her dads house.....ah fuck he better not be having an episode again Aurora hurry to the address girl." It seemed like Raven was already familiar with the situation so why did she call me and not Raven?

Pulling up to her dads we exit the car and it's silent. I called Clair to see if she will pick up and she answered.

"Are you outside?" She asked whispering through the phone.

"Yea where are you?"I asked her in a low tone.

"I'm around back." She said then hung up after

Raven and I walked around the back and saw her climbing out of her bedroom window. She grabbed our hands and ran straight for the car.

When we got in the car Clair started crying. We asked what happened but she didn't say anything. Raven offered us to spend the night at her crib so we headed to her place.

We made a sleep pallet in the living room so we could all have somewhere to sleep. I felt like I was back in junior high having a sleep over.

Clair never talked about what happened at her dads house. I hope she's okay though I'm not used to seeing her afraid to talk to us. Even though I'm upset with her about some shit that happened a month ago I can't hold that against her forever she's my friend and I need to be there for her.

Everything was great. We are, watched movies, smoked , and played games. "I'm mad as hell we going back to school in 3 days I'm not ready bitch." Raven said sighing loudly.

"I'm not either it felt like I barely did anything summer break." I said shaking my head.

"For real though I stayed out here most of summer break which is shitty. Wish I had me a lil boo or something. I could've been fucking around." She said getting up to grab something to drink from the kitchen.

"What about you Clair did you have a nice summer break?" I ask her rubbing her back as she sat next to me.

"Yea I guess I didn't do much but bounce between my mom and dads house since they are divorced." Clair says leaning back against the couch as we sat on the floor.

"Damn I know that's tough girl I'm sorry." I said trying to comfort her.

"It's all good I can't control it. I just wish my dad would stop drinking I'm tired of him taking his drunken anger out on me. It's not often but it just scary to witness you know." She said.
