Mic's laugh turned mock dark at his husband. "Yeah... no. You're actually sleeping tonight. Midoriya's turn!" Mic quickly moved to Midoriya before Shouta had the chance to protest.
Midoriya rubbed his eyes again, shifting. "Uh... Mr Aizawa." Shouta raised an eyebrow. "May I Ask... uhm.. how long have I been asleep?" There goes a carefree game.
Mic looked to Shouta worriedly, but he waved him off. "You've been asleep three days, kid." Izuku blinked, looking down at himself.
"Three... days...?" Shouta nodded. Izuku drew in a shuddering breath. "Okay. Isn't it your turn now?"
He nodded. "Midoriya, who would you claim to be your best friend?" Izuku blinked at the unexpected question, making Yamada snicker.
"Kacchan," he answered, recovering quickly. Shouta nodded. He had expected Todoroki or Uraraka.
"Alright, your turn cockatoo." Mic grinned evilly.
"How much do you love your kids, Sho~?"
Aizawa groaned as Izuku cracked a small smile.

Izuku stared down at his lap as the doctor cleared his throat. "Midoriya, you've got a rather long list of injuries. Although, nothing new?" Izuku shook his head. He'd been in the hospital more times than he could count in just the past year. Although, none of those sceneries entailed a roof falling on him. That was entirely new.
"How much is it?" He asked, feeling mostly numb. Playing a game with Mr. Aizawa and Present Mic had helped, but not enough.
He cleared his throat again. "Let's start off small; one sprained wrist and another bruised. Fractured bone there," he gestured to the space between his right elbow and wrist, "and a dislocated shoulder. You fractured a few bones around the waist, broke two. Three broken fingers and one fractured."
Izuku slowly moves his fingers, wincing. The doctor nods. "As for your legs.... I assume you've already figured it out?"
Izuku nodded, not noticing Aizawa putting a hand on his shoulder. He stared down at his lap, trying not to focus on how the raised indentation of the sheets ended only a few inches from where his knees should be.
"Were they really not capable of healing?" The doctor shook his head.
"I'm afraid not. When all that rubble fell on you, it completely ripped through the skin and muscles in your legs. Far too many cells and tissue died, and there was a lot of blood loss. Practically every single bone was broken, if not shattered. Doctors spent nearly an hour picking out bone fragments alone."
Izuku willed his tears back, nodding. He was reckless, he didn't think about what he was doing. This was his fault.
At least he saved someone.
The doctor whispered a few quiet words with Mr. Aizawa and Mic before bowing slightly and leaving the room. It fell into silence, the only interruption the ever consistent beeping of machinery.
Aizawa cleared his throat. "Kid, you okay?" Izuku shrugged. His teacher sighed. "Look, even if your legs weren't amputated, they'd be in constant pain for most likely the rest of your life. There was no saving them."
