Izuku Midoriya is a good kid. A great kid, in fact. He's survived two villain attacks, fought multiple villains, and saved two young children. He's a naturally happy boy, but that doesn't necessarily mean life is cupcakes and rainbows. Enter Inko Midoriya. She made the mistake of marrying Hisashi Midoriya, who abandoned her two weeks before their son was born, leaving her to raise him alone.
Life as a single mother raising a quirkless child isn't easy, never mind the bills that have been stacking up for years. So when Izuku fights a villain on live television, it's easy to let years of anxiety and depression come crashing down.
With his mother in the hospital for attempted suicide, his father wanting nothing to do with him, and his grandmother not qualified to take care of a child, Izuku is thrust into foster care. Enter the Terekos. Nice enough people, for the first thirty minutes social care workers stick around.
Now struggling with school, his mother's attempt and sickness, and a not-so-friendly home life, Izuku's stuck, and its hard to keep up a smile. But is it really his fault an accident cost him his legs?

Fuuuck. Hey guys. So I fucked up. I wasn't supposed to write this book until Most Girls was finished, and I'm not even done planning this book, but who cares? Not me. I think.
Few things we need to note about this book. It is a rewrite, for one. Two, there is one major change that affects this entire book and makes it different from the original.
Izuku leaves Inko in the hospital. Well, not leave, but he makes her stay in a hospital to recover, physically and mentally. So Izuku does not have to find some random house in some random neighborhood. Nope, he goes into foster care. Let's see how this changes the course of the entire book, hmmm?
Also, I'm in a HTYYD phase. My library literally consists of HTTYD, and that's it, except for like five books on Mha and Percy Jackson. Oops. Also, if you guys wanna watch shows and movies for free, like Riders of Berk, go to Soap2day. It has tons of stuff, including Raya and the Last Dragon, and all three HTYYD movies. Sadly, Gift of the Night Fury isn't on there. But the Mha movies are, so yay!
Anyhow, on with the goddamn shit show! Ten chapters for a rewrite, let's do this!

Izuku
Izuku smiled as he traipsed up the stairs to his apartment. School had been rather hectic lately, and he honestly just wanted a relaxing visit with his mom, especially after the Yakuza raid. Izuku was also a bit nervous that his mom had seen his fight with Over-bitch-haul on TV, but he wasn't that concerned. Worst comes to worst, his mom would cry a bit, scold him for a few minutes, and force him to watch movies with her.
Izuku suppressed a laugh at the thought. His mom could never stay mad at him. When Izuku reaches the slightly scratches wooden door, he contemplated knocking, but decided against it. He kind of wanted to surprise his mom, although he knew it might give her a bit of a scare.
