A punch to the midsection, a kick to the legs, an air missile to literally any robot in a five foot radius. Surprisingly, that was about ten. Rude robots.
His thoughts were running wild now. He should probably focus more. Slow down. How does he slo w down again? Fighting is easier- OW-
Izuku gasped as a sharp pain bloomed across the middle of his back, followed by a distant burning. Izuku fell to the ground, curling into a ball. It only hurt more as his back was exposed to the air. He felt something warm drip down his skin. That probably wasn't good. Maybe he should ask for help. Oh, that boy was sparkly. He had a weird voice though.
Izuku groaned, mumbling incoherently. He should probably stop that. People were looking at him. Hey, stop that. He didn't like that. That was too much attention. Oh, hi anxiety. That was always a fun party.
Logic just jumped out the window.
Izuku apparently though this train of thought was hilarious, because he laughed numbly, his chest wheezing and rocking. A boy with sand for hair was sitting next to him. Izuku didn't really like how his brain was working right now. Couldn't he just foc us?
"Hi Kacchan," Izuku mumbled. He earned a grunt in response, and something rough but warm being strapped around his cold midsection. Those felt familiar. Oh yeah, that's what we call bandages.
Izuku heard a faint giggle. Who was laughing? Oh, now his chest hurt.
"Oi, Deku! Back to earth, nerd!" Izuku blinked at the sound of Katsuki's voice, looking around. Damn, what was wrong with him? Wait, no, it would take a year to list them all, at least.
"Deku! Come on already!" Izuku blinked again. Okay, stop thinking. Easy enough, right? No, not really, he always thought so fast it came out in mumbled and then annoyed everyone around him so he should stop that it's really rude-
Izuku forcibly shut down his brain. "Sorry Kacchan. Sorry, sorry." Izuku apologized repeatedly. Then he remembered that he was on the ground for some reason. "Hey, why am I laying on the ground?"
Katsuki snorted, pulling on a roll of bandages and wrapping a bit on some part of his back. "Heh, you really weren't paying attention, huh?" Izuku shook his head sheepishly. "Well," Katsuki said with a smirk, "you were fighting like a goddamn animal, which wasn't all that bad actually, until a robot came and straight up punched you. In the back. Didn't know they punched, actually."
"Huh." Was all Izuku could really say to that. It was his own fault for being so distracted anyways. Wait, no, stop thinking. That doesn't make sense. "So, can I get up and fight now?" Izuku asked, half to avoid thinking and half because he did actually want to jump back in.
Katsuki shrugged. "All Might said to keep fighting until we beat the robots, run outta time, or there's a serious injury that needs the old nurse." Izuku raised an eyebrow.
"So...?"
Katsuki sighed. "So yeah, fine. The shitty bandages will hold you together for now. Just focus already." Izuku grinned, hopping to his feet like his back wasn't still bleeding sluggishly.
"Thanks Kacchan! And no promises!"
"DEKU-!"
Izuku laughed, pivoting off the wall of a building and kicking straight into a three pointer that was brawling with Sato. Sato smiled at Izuku, who was already gone. Sometimes, it really paid off to have a speed and strength augmentation quirk.
