"Five years." Richard replied simply and took a seat opposite of Seven.

"Five years?!" Seven had a hard time to believe it. He admitted to himself a long time ago that he was a selfish son of a gun, but he could not be that blind towards his best-fucking-friend. "Then what about all the girls you flirt with?"

"Facade, Seven. I have to."

Seven clenched his fingers in a fist and scowled at Richard. "Are you telling me properly or do you want my foot in your face?"

"Your foot is better than your face." He said cheekily. "I was the one who kissed Nate to shut his smart mouth up back in sixth grade. He doesn't want anyone to know, and I'm scared, too, Seven. What if my family finds it out somehow. I'm totally screwed." He looked panicked. "You're the first one to know."

Seven was happy for his best friend but also, hurt and betrayed. "I'm privileged." He dead-panned.
