"Wake up."

A voice whispers to me from the darkness. A darkness that I cannot see nor feel. I'm floating in nothingness. Then I hear the voice again

"Wake up."

It speaks a little louder, the darkness turning into shadowed figures, still hard to see. I look around and realize that I'm not alone. Figures are walking around me, seeing me, but at the same time, not. Finally, the voice shouts at me.

"Wake up!"

I sat up and gasp for air. Feeling the fear of a nightmare that I just awakened from, but could not remember exactly what it was, or why it scared me. I pulled my hair away from my face, which was covered in beads of sweat.

I looked around and saw that I was in a small gray room. It had a bed, a sink, and a toilet, though there was a doorway that seemed to be deteriorating. Its hinges were hanging loosely on the walls and a big metal door looking like it could fall at any second.

The room had one small window, with thick, cracked glass and bars on the other side, and had vines growing through the small spaces and into the room. The walls were nearly covered in them.

Then I placed my bare feet on the ground. It was cold, and some of the vines were on the ground making my balance slightly unsteady.

Once I was standing up I had seen that my clothes were blank. I was wearing a single white dress, it was like the ones you would see in a hospital on the patients. It was dirty, to the point where white wasn't even the right word to describe it. It also had some dark brown stains on it that seemed to be completely out of place.

After regaining my balance I walked to the door and looked outside, the hall was also gray, and the walls were cracked also full of overgrown vines. There were multiple doors, some falling apart like mine was, others closed, possibly locked.

I walked out into the hall, the air was cold, and it was completely silent. I let out a shaky breath as a brief chill went down my spine. I rubbed my arms hoping to keep some kind of warmth.

Even in this silence, something felt off. I didn't know what it was, but it was like something was watching me. Then, out of nowhere, I heard a single, small voice.

"Run."

Without knowing why, but as if on command, I obeyed and ran down the hall. As I was doing so, the lights flickered and a terrifying screech was heard through the halls. I had looked behind me and saw a huge pale humanoid beast.

I saw a white humanoid beast on all fours. It had eyes covering the whole upper half of its face and bloody and torn folds in the place where its lips should be. Its body didn't have any indication of gender and was left completely uncovered.

It was rushing towards me, all eyes focused on me. Its hands—at least that's what I thought they were—had long claws on the end of them, covered in blood. It had a clumsy animalistic run, and grabbed at the walls and ground and pulled and pushed itself closer to me.

Seeing it made my heart drop, and a huge pit of fear filled my stomach. My heart started to beat even faster, and my legs moved quicker. I ran down the hall and saw an upcoming staircase

Without hesitation, I ran towards it and grabbed the cold metal railing. I ran down the stairs and glanced behind me for what I thought was only a fraction of a second. My mistake, I stepped on nothing but air and realized that the step was missing. It sent me tumbling down the concrete stairs.

When I hit the ground I could see stars in the corners of my vision. It didn't last long when I saw the beast at the top of the stairs. It stopped and looked at me for a moment before letting out another screech loud enough to make my head ache with pain.
