The badass and the nerd -bughead

Part 6

Jughead's POV

After doing a few hours of homework and studying I start to get hungry, I head downstairs to see no one home, Mum and Dad are probably still at work (Mum works at the Riverdale Register/ Newspaper and Dad is the town sheriff) and Jelly is at a play date/babysitter or with Mum I don't know.

Walking out the house I grabbing my phone, keys and my wallet not really caring what I look like, mentally sighing I know my Mum's going to be disappointed in what I'm wearing as she always wants me to be neat and perfect, but I don't really care right now.

Getting into my car I turn on the heater as it's bloody cold tonight, driving to Pops it takes 10 minutes as it's just before the old train tracks before going into the Southside of Riverdale.

Walking into Pops Chocklit Shoppe I see it's not busy as I only see an old couple on each side of the table holding hands with love in their eyes aww how cute you see I want someone to love I just haven't found anyone I like yet, like it's not like I don't get girls asking me out a few times, but they just want a night not a relationship and I want my first time to be special with someone I love, I just haven't found her yet.

(Even though jughead is a nerd he's hot as hell not like the really nerdy people that wear glasses and sweaters, kinda like a coolish nerd)
Back to the book

Getting knocked out by my thoughts by Pop Tate,

"Hey Jug, how you doing? Do you want your usual?" Pop asked in his normal cheery voice.

"Hey Pop, I'm doing good how you doing? And yes please" I said/asked

"I'm doing good thanks and just take a seat and I'll get your food in a minute."

Saying a quick thanks, I head over to a booth at the back of the brightly lit diner and take out my phone texting Fangs while waiting for my food.

After a few minutes of texting Fangs, Pop comes over and gives me my food, giving him a smile and thanks, I start eating while still texting Fangs about how he already loves Kevin blah blah blah, I hear the bell ring signalling someone's walked in, but I don't bother to look up.

After 15 minutes I finish eating my food and start to text Fangs again until I feel someone staring at me, so I look up to see a blond girl wearing a Southside Serpent jacket around my age, just getting up to collect her bag of food from Pop.

I was expecting attitude and rudeness from her as my Mum always said and I quote 'you stay away from the Southside and all Southside Serpents they are dangerous murders do I make myself clear' and she's told me that since I could walk but after I hear her voice thanking Pop and have a good evening I got confused they're supposed to be mean and dangerous.

The girl caught me looking at her and she smirked and winked at me with a mysterious look in her eyes and me being my stupid shy self I end up blushing like an idiot and put my head down as the table suddenly becomes really interesting.

After hearing the bell go as the door closes I look up and see out the window the SSS (Southside Serpent) girl getting on her motorbike, so I guess she is dangerous and badass, but I can't ignore the fact she was beautiful and the way her voice was just so peaceful and kind, just the way her long blonde curly hair falls into her shoulders, just beautiful and the way....

My thoughts got interrupted by Pop taking my plate, giving him a smile and a quick thanks I send a quick message to Fangs saying I'm leaving and talk to him later, after paying I walk out the door to my car.

Getting in my car I realise the time and see it's late and my family will be home by now and probably worried about where I am, so I have to get home quickly.

But as I'm driving home I can't get my mind of the girl in Pops earlier, but i can't think of her as my Mum will never approve and it's not like I'm going to see her again.

Getting home I see my Mum, Dad and Jellybean on the sofa watching a film saying a hello to everyone, my Mum asks

"Hey Jug, where have you been and dressed like that, you look like you should be on the Southside." I looked up and yep I was right she had that disappointed look on her face.

"Sorry Mum I got hungry after doing homework and studying and you guys weren't here so I just went to Pops and I really could not be bothered to get changed back into normal clothes." I said in a guilty but tired voice.

"Well alright just next time wear something more presentable please." Mum said turning back to the TV.

"Ok Jellybean time for bed say goodnight to Jug and Daddy" Mum said to Jelly

"Ok Mummy" she moved over to Dad and hugged him while Dad gave her a kiss on the cheek and head.

"Goodnight baby" Dad said

Jelly jumped off the sofa and ran over to me hugging my legs, I chuckled while picking her up as she wrapped her tiny hands around my neck.

"Night night Juggie love you" she said in a tired but still cute voice.

"Night Jelly I love you, see you tomorrow and when I pick you up after school we can go to the park" I said giving my sister a kiss on the cheek.

She giggled and ran up the stairs with Mum following behind her I love my sister we have the best relationship and I'm mostly the only one that picks her up from pre-school (day care) after I finish school as Mum and Dad are always busy but Mum always has a day off on Friday so I can have Friday to hang out with Fangs but sometimes she has play dates or with a babysitter like today.

My Mum came back downstairs as I was about to go up.

"Night Mum, night Dad, love you" I said as I'm climbing up the stairs

"Night Jug love you" they said at the same time

Going to my room I turn on my TV and clear my bed from all the books and paper for school and put Netflix on while going to the bathroom and brush my teeth and do my business.

Climbing into my bed I put on my favourite TV show The 100, it's just the best but while I'm watching TV I can't seem to get the SSS girl out my head, getting knocked out my thoughts by my phone vibrating and see it's Fangs texting me.

After like 15 minutes of texting, I say goodnight and take my clothes stopping at my boxers and getting into my bed and turning my light off and going to sleep just before 11:30pm. Not knowing what surprise, I will be getting at school tomorrow.
