Aurora dodged the fist, almost tripping on her dress. Killyan steadied her, trying to stop the girl from attempting to hit her again.
"Acantha, stop it," Killyan lunged for Acantha but she dodged him and swung at Aurora.
So 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 is Acantha.
Couldn't say Aurora was surprised.
For someone who was a bit more than tipsy, her reflexes were fast.
"It's her fault, she's flirting with Adryan," Acantha swung again but missed. The fury was evident on her face but Aurora was enjoying it too much.
Well, she was until she got punched in the face, her head knocked to the side by the force of it. Aurora spat, and blood came out instead. Blood also gushed from her nose, making it hard to breathe.
"You bitch!" Aurora screeched, launching herself at Acantha. Dully, she realized a crowd was gathered around them, staring in horror at such a display.
Royals.
Protected from the worst of the world, looking down their noses at everyone and everything else. They knew nothing about her. This only angered Aurora further. It felt good to punch Acantha in the face, breaking her perfect, sharp jawline. Then they were being wrenched apart, shields of wind separating them both.
Acantha looked like she had just been trampled by a herd of deer. She was being helped off the floor, tears streaming down her face, the image ruined by the hatred in her eyes.
The tears mingled with the blood, mascara smudged, hair a mess and tight silver dress torn.
Aurora was positive she looked the same, minus the tears. Riona was storming down the stairs, Adryan and a foreign dignatary trailing after her.
Riona followed Priya and Atlas as they appeared from wherever they had been, and advanced on Aurora and Acantha. Priya pointed one finger at her, golden and white dress swaying. "Follow me. Now." Priya's finger shook, and she turned on her heel quickly, heading towards a room that lead out of the ball room.
Aurora looked around and saw Atlas trying to disperse the crowd, while Riona was leaning over Acantha, Adryan hanging back with a disgusted look on his face. Acantha had broken down into sobs, pointing to Aurora every so often but unable to say anything. Adryan looked up and caught Aurora staring. A warning lay in Adryan's eyes, as well as. . . fear?
Killyan stepped beside Aurora, clearly furious as they followed Priya into the small room adjacent to the ball room. Acantha had knocked him into a near by table and punch stained his grey suit. "How can you be this stupid?!" Killyan whispered furiously, keeping an eye on Priya. Aurora didn't answer, because if she did, she was sure she start screaming or crying. Probably the latter... Killyan continued. "You're in deep shit, and I can't help you."
And he walked away towards Priya, who had collapsed onto a chair, massaging her temple. They sat in silence until Riona and Atlas burst through the door, Riona shouting and Atlas trying to calm her.
"That's it! She gone! All she's done since arriving is cause trouble and now she picked a fight with my general?! She's ruined her reputation."
"And her jaw," Aurora muttered, but Riona heard her.
"You're lucky I'm not in charge, because if I was, you'd be dead by now!" Riona screamed and Atlas held her back.
"I was defending myself. She attacked me first!" Aurora fumed. Killyan nodded but Priya ignored him as she stood up.
"Riona, enough." Priya shouted, silencing Riona instantly.
Aurora opened her mouth but was silenced aswell. "You too Aurora. You've caused enough trouble to last at least two centuries. But Riona is right, you have to go—"
"What! It wasn't even my fault!" Aurora exploded. Killyan threw her a warning look.
"You can't behave like this in the palace! I'm sure you know there is foreign dignitaries here but yet you still fought!" Priya argued, raising her voice.
There was a pause, the silence daring Aurora to speak.
"Now, as I was saying before I was interrupted," Priya glared at her, and Aurora was tempted to interrupt her once more. "You've overstayed your welcome here Aurora, and before you argue that you did nothing, you still fought. And we already gave you a warning, so now unfortunately I have to act on that warning."
"What does that mean?" She asked, brows scrunching together.
"It means you're being evicted Aurora. The palace is not your home anymore," Atlas answered.
