“Again, drama queen!” I laughed and she rolled her eyes playfully

“Just tell me!” she pleaded and I laughed

“Fine, I’ll tell you!”

“Where are you taking me?” I laughed as I felt a piece of fabric over my eyes as Daniel covered my eyes “Please tell me.” I pleaded and I heard him chuckle softly. It was about one week after I had told Zoe about Daniel and I kissing and she was ecstatic about it. Jase and Zoe had also gone on a date throughout the week and I was told it had gone great, I was excited for them; they made an adorable couple.

“Ever heard of a little thing called a surprise?” he chuckled and I smirked as he grabbed my hand and lead me inside his car, we drove in silence for quite a while until I felt the car stop and I heard him get out, only to join me a few seconds later “No peeking.” he whispered in my ear, causing shivers to go up and down my spine.

“I wouldn’t dare.” I joked as he grabbed my hand and slightly pulled me as he lead me to wherever it was he was taking me, I heard the ding of an elevator and then we were inside of it because I heard the typical elevator music. It was a really long ride. “Where are we?” I squealed with excitement “This is so exhilarating!” I squealed again and he chuckled behind me as he wrapped his arms around my waist

“Patience…” he whispered “it’s called a surprise for a reason.”

“I know it is, but I just don’t see why the elevator ride has to be half an hour long!” I huffed and then I heard the ding of the door and I felt a cold breeze hit me, and I wasn’t even out yet. Daniel grabbed my hand as he lead me out of the elevator and I was hit with he freezing cold New York breeze and I could tell from the force of it that we were in a tall building. He undid the mask that was covering my face and dropped it on the floor and I gasped once I saw where we were. We were at the Top of the Rock. “Are you…” I breathed with a wide smile as I gripped onto the railing and admired the view “are you for real?!” I squealed as I turned around and wrapped my arms around his neck, he chuckled as he embraced me and wrapped his arms around my waist

“Maybe, maybe not.” he joked and I rolled my eyes playfully as I pecked his lips softly, I pulled away but he kissed me again, this time more hungrily, I smiled into the kiss

“Wow.” I giggled once we had pulled away, I wiped the corner of my mouth since my lipstick was probably smudged “Kiss me like that again and I’ll probably fall off this building.” I joked but he looked at me seriously

“Please don’t talk like that.” he said as his grip tightened on my waist

“I was joking, Dan.” I giggled as I kissed his lips again softly “Nothing to worry about.” I reassured him and he sighed

“Good.” he smiled “Are you hungry?” He whispered as he tucked a strand of hair behind my ear

“Let’s just stay here for a little while.” I smiled as I grabbed his hand and turned around as I admired the view once again. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, but I decided to ignore it; it probably wasn't important.

“Aren’t you going to get that?” he asked “I don’t mind.” he reassured and I smiled as I stepped away a little and took my phone out of my pocket, but when I was about to answer, it stopped ringing. I glanced at the caller and saw it was Chase. Oh, god. I sighed and tucked my phone back into my pocket, making my way back to Daniel. “Who was it?” he asked as he wrapped his arms around my waist

“Someone from back home.” I answered “I missed the call, anyway. I’ll just call him later.”

“Should I be worried?” he joked “I don’t like the sound of that.”

“Jealousy isn’t a good colour on you.” I giggled as I touched his cheek

“What are you talking about? Every colour suits me!” he wiggled his eyebrows and I giggled

“Eh…” I giggled and he smiled down at me as he caressed my cheek “What?” I whispered softly, he smiled

“Just thinking.” he sighed softly

“About?” I said as I raised an eyebrow at him, he smirked

“About us.” he answered as he kept caressing my cheek softly “About you.” he added and I blushed “And how amazing you make me feel.” I blushed deeper “And how cute you are when you blush.”

“Alright, stop now.” I laughed and he chuckled “Otherwise I’ll be a tomato.”

“We wouldn’t want that now, would we?” he joked and I punched his chest playfully “But seriously,” he said as he licked his lips and stared at me intently “I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what I just said.” he dropped his hand from my cheek and entwined our fingers together “And I know that my sister has probably told you that I’ve never had a girlfriend before or that I’ve never liked anybody.” I giggled as I nodded “Now I get why she accused me of being gay when we were kids.” I giggled and he ran his hands through his hair

“Your point, being?” I smiled widely

“My point is…” he sighed “That I never dated anyone before because I never found someone who made me feel something, like this.” he said with a soft smile “But now that I think about it, I’m glad I waited.” he added and I blushed “Now I know what liking someone for real and for the first time feels like.”

“Where are you going with this?” I smiled softly as he sighed

“I don’t know.” he laughed “I know I’m a mess and that I’m not making any sense.” he groaned and I giggled

“You are, sort of.” I chuckled and he smiled as he tightened his grip on my hand

“I guess I just wanted to ask you something.” he muttered nervously “But I’d get it if you’d think it was too soon and all, it’s alright; I don’t want to rush you into doing something you don’t want to.” he rambled and I giggled as I pecked his lips “I guess I just wanted to ask you…” he said nervously “Ava, will you be my girlfriend?”
