What I'm Open To

- I like Young Adult (Teen Fiction), New Adult, or Adult stories.

- I might consider Middle Grade, but I don't read much of it.

- I encourage LGBTQ stories (though I don't enjoy MxM romance very much, sorry! If the main character happens to be a gay man, that's totally fine, but if the story's focus is on the romance, then I don't have much experience reading or writing that.)

- Mature/steamy stories are fine.

What I'm NOT Open To

- Stories over 80,000 words (sorry, my time is limited)

- Tragedies (if the story's intention is to make people sad or angry, I don't want it)

- Excessive torture, gore, or cruelty (I'm too soft-hearted for that stuff)

- I have little patience for rude, arrogant, or "alpha" love interests

- Instalove makes me cringe. Lust or like at first sight I can understand. But love at first sight just tells me the author has no idea what love really is, or perhaps we just define love differently.

- I don't like the Fated Mates trope either

- Stories with more than 3 POVs

- Slow-paced, literary stories with poetic descriptions. I'm not into that style of writing and prefer a faster pace. (If you're trying to speed up your story, though, I can help with that.)

- Fanfiction

THE WISH LIST

- Is your character a woman who loves other women? Yes please. 🏳️‍🌈

- I enjoy character-driven stories with lots of introspection and personal thoughts.

- I adore humor like witty dialogue or fun banter. Slapstick not so much.

- A strong or unique voice can make me read something I might not normally read.

- If a story contains these aforementioned elements, the genre isn't all that important.

- That said, I enjoy romantic comedies of all kinds. I write things that make people feel good, and I also read things that make me feel good. If a non-romance story contains a romance sub-plot, that's great. I love love. :)

- I enjoy YA, science fiction, and chicklit quite a lot too. If there's character development, I don't need the romance element.

- If your story features an Asian main character or is set in an Asian setting (past, present, or mythical) I am here for it! My mom is Taiwanese and I like the growing trend of Asian representation in mainstream publishing.

- I'm always fascinated by paranormal stories where I don't have to be familiar with existing rules like Omegaverse. In fact, please don't send me Omegaverse stories. Shifters, other werewolves, ghosts, and zombies are all welcome. I don't love vampires or angels, but I won't say no just because it's got vampires or angels.

- I'm picky about what fantasy I read. I have no interest in fae courts or high fantasy with endless pages of worldbuilding. However I do like superheroes, special abilities, and the angst over feeling like an "other". I also enjoy spunky characters who believe in themselves enough to escape the goat farm they grew up on and earn their way into an apprenticeship at the royal court. (That was just an example. I am not specifically looking for goat farmer stories. LOL)

- Dystopian is cool, though I don't read much of it.
