Y/n's POV
I was waiting for Mike to return. Its almost been a month since he left with the other scouts. Normally a person would be freaking out but Mike has been there a long time, I highly doubt he would die... but I still have a bad feeling. As I was doing whatever it is that I usually do. I hear a knock on the door
That's not Mike.. he just walks in
I go to the door to open it. I'm met with Hange, Levi, and Erwin. They had grim looks upon their faces. Levi's wasn't noticeable but I could see it in his eyes. I felt my heart drop
Maybe Mike just got injured
"Hey guys, what brings you here?" I ask nervously
"I'm sorry to inform you that Mike Zacharius is dead... he was a brave soldier and fulfilled his duty" Erwin says. My whole world shattered at those words.
"O-oh is that all?" I ask trying not to break down in front of them
"Yes, I'm sorry for your loss. We'll be on our way" Erwin says as him, Hange and Levi turn around and walk off. I close the door and put my back against it. A hand covering my mouth as tears fell down my face. I slid down the door and onto the floor as I began sobbing
Mike... why?
I began recalling distant memories
I never really liked it when he sniffed me but... I would give anything for him to be here... I won't complain anymore....just come home...
