TESSA'S P.O.V

It was all really peaceful on the cruise. 'Victoria' was said to be one of the biggest cruise ships and true to its word, it was very luxurious and huge. A small girl next to Austin started vomiting and her mother rushed her into their own cabin, so as to avoid any further chaos or embarassment. I sighed. It was no wonder everyone in the group was surprised that I had still not succumbed to sea-sickness, as it was my first time travelling by sea. I too had prepared myself to meet the same fate as the little girl, but nothing had happened and I was as healthy as a hog. Soon, the evening tea was served on the deck, where we were all seated. The silence was not awkward and we were sitting comfortably, but I had the sudden urge to make conversation.

"Say, by any chance, has anyone got any idea what we're supposed to do once we've reached Florida?" I asked. "Yes ofcourse. Let's find a nice hotel and sleep this vacation away." Chloe answered, while yawning as usual. It was still a mystery to us how she managed to sleep all the time and still get her work finished. " We're here for a relaxing vacation, not to bloody hibernate." Austin snapped. "Well, what's more relaxing for someone than sleeping to their heart's content?" She shot back. "Maybe trying to shut up?" I suggested hopefully. They both gave me a look and I fell back into my seat, sulking. When I had tried to start a conversation, this was not the type I had wanted. "Well, you know what. I'm just gonna go and take a nap. I don't feel like eating dinner." "Nap my ass" Austin mumbled. I smiled and blew him a kiss. " Ur not angry with us for arguing, right?"He asked. "Nah, I just feel tired." I started getting up, when Jade spoke up, looking up from her book for the first time this evening. "I think I'll join you Tess. I've got a terrible headache. You have got aspirins in your bag, right?" "Hm" I hummed. "Okay then, you both go and do whatever it is you want to do. We'll join u after a bit." Chloe said. "Ofcourse. There are quite a lot of handsome men on this ship for you to engage with huh?" I questioned, winking at her. Grinning back at me in response, she went back to her magazine. Finally getting up, I collected my shades and linking my arms with Jade, marched off the deck.

No one was present in the cabins at the time, just as I'd expected. They were all out on the deck, enjoying the sunset. I opened my cabin door and started laying out the fresh sheets, preparing the bed when Jade asked me if she could use my bathroom. I agreed absentmindedly and went back to my work. Not bothering to call her out and tell her I was going to bed, I put two Aspirins and a glass of water on the small table and lied down, whispering Good Night to no one in particular, and went to sleep.
