Describing Fai's feelings as annoyed at the moment would be an understatement. The previous night Mark was meant to come over to Fai's dorm. Once it was getting late and Mark was not answering his phone, Fai ended up calling Jungwoo who explained that Mark was still out. Fai stayed up all night wondering where Mark was, what he was doing and who he was with. Her thoughts weren't pretty.

Fai was in the changing room of the company, getting ready for her practice. Her phone started to ring, though she was thankful that it was Mark she was still annoyed. She took a seat on the bench and accepted the call.

"Hey," Mark said once Fai answered the call, "Are you doing something right now?"

"I'm free for a few minutes."

"Okay, that's good."

"What happened?" Fai asked, referring to last night.

"I fell asleep after drinking," Mark explained, Fai hated short answers that weren't a lie but neither the truth because they never gave the full story.

"With who?"

"It doesn't matter, you don't know them," Mark said casually, Fai could tell that he was doing something as she can hear background noise.

Fai rose her eyebrow, she wanted to punch Mark, "Okay."

"Let's hang out tomorrow," Mark said, "I think I'm free the whole day."

"I guess, I'll see how my schedule is."

"Did you wait for long?" Mark asked, referring to the previous night.

"I couldn't sleep because of you, I made Jungwoo stay up and wait for you so he could call me once you came back."

"Fuck, I'm so sorry."

"Whatever," Fai looked at the time, "I need to go."

"Where to?"

"Practice, Japanese album and tour soon."

"Speaking of, do you think it'll happen? There's a virus going around, apparently it's really contagious."

Fai wanted to laugh at his question, it was so random, "I don't know."

"You seem out of it, are you okay?"

"I'm tired," Fai stated the obvious.

"Okay, I'll let you go to practice then. Love you."

"Mhmm," Fai hummed then hung up. She muttered under her breath, "So irritating."

Fai was sat in the middle of her practice room, she stared at the clock that was sitting at quarter to nine, focusing on the ticking.

Just as Mark was giving ridiculously irritating and short answers to Fai while on the phone. Fai too would reply to Mark's texts dryly. A few days had gone by since the last time they had a proper conversation. Fai appreciated Mark's efforts for trying to get a conversation out of Fai, but he still annoyed her beyond any needs.

Fai heard someone knocking on the door, before she could tell them not to come in as she needed alone time to think, the door opened.

"Who let you in?" Fai asked out of annoyance.

Mark ignored Fai and sat in front of her to make sure she would pay attention to him, "Are you busy?"

"Not really," Fai muttered.

"How long will you keep this up?" Mark asked, they were sat in silence for a few minutes, "At least demand an apology from me. Yell at me or something. The silence is jarring."

Fai rubbed her forehead, she felt a headache coming in, "Not now."

"No, now. Talk to me."

"We did talk. I spoke to you and you did the same."

"Do you want to break up with me? Is that the situation we're in right now?"

Fai looked up and stared at Mark for a moment. She still loved Mark very much and hadn't even thought of a breakup, "Don't be ridiculous."

"Then don't act like we are. My mind has been racing for a while."

"Sorry then."

"Is it because of what happened a few days ago?" Fai stayed silent and Mark knew it was a yes. He sighed, "I didn't know you'd stay up for me. I only saw your text in the morning."

"Then you should've replied in the morning."

"Replying in the morning wouldn't have changed anything."

Fai rose her eyebrow, "If that's your reply then I have nothing to say."

"I wasn't trying to be offensive, please don't be on edge."

"But you are putting me on edge! Would you have broken your fingers to text me back?"

"You could have called me."

"Do you think I want to live my life like this? Waiting around for your texts like a dog. Calling you asking where you are, when you're coming back. Didn't we agree that we wouldn't have our relationship be like that? Asking questions like that makes me feel so shitty. It's even worse when I have to worry about where you are, if you're safe. Wouldn't you feel the same?" Fai said, "And you know what's worse? You saying that I wouldn't know who you were drinking with. Fucking dick-head. You made me feel so small. That one hurt so much. It emphasised even more that we don't see each other often. You're so fucking shameless, it's irritating."

The two stayed in silence for a moment, neither of them knew what to say. Mark spoke up, "I don't want us to argue."

"Neither do I," Fai whispered. All the anger Fai built up throughout the past few days disappeared, "I just want you to be safe, I don't want anything bad to happen to you. Not knowing where you are or who you're with, makes me feel really apprehensive."

Mark looked down to Fai's hands, she was fidgeting a lot and he could tell that she was feeling anxious. Mark moved closer to Fai and gave her a hug, "I didn't realise that I made you feel that way, I'm sorry."

Fai snuggled into Mark's shoulder, she felt safe, "It's okay."

"You had a point and I shouldn't be making you worry. I was being careless."

Mark was staring into Fai's eyes and she knew what was meant, the moment was perfect for what he wanted to do, "There are cameras here."

Mark smiled then squeezed Fai's cheeks, "I love you."

Fai hugged Mark tighter making them fall back to the group, "I love you too."
