"Hey Steve? Have you seen my —"

You looked up and saw Steve holding your diamond earrings in the palm of his hand. You walked over to him and took them, putting them on.

"Thank you," you said softly before placing a kiss on Steve's lips.

"We're going to be late if you don't hurry up," Steve teased with a grin.

"You act like somebody wouldn't save a reservation for you, Steve Rogers."

Steve couldn't help but chuckle as he pulled you toward him and kissed you again.

"I thought we were going to be late," you teased. "C'mon, old man."

Steve patted his pockets down, making sure he had everything he needed, before leaving with his arm wrapped around you.

The past five months had brought you and Steve closer and you started to see a side of him that very few others had gotten to see. Underneath his good boy facade, he was a complete jokester and total flirt with you. He was a hopeless romantic and you liked that about him.

You felt fortunate to have Steve. Life actually started to seem somewhat normal again and even though you still wished deep down that things could go back to how they were before the blip, you knew they never would. You and Steve had both come to realize that all you had was the future and you took things one day at a time.

"We will take a bottle of your finest wine," Steve told the waiter, who quickly left.

"Finest wine, eh? What's the occasion?" You questioned as you held your hands together and rested then on the table.

Steve reached across the table and placed his right hand on top of yours.

"You are," he replied simply.

"What do you mean?"

You turned your head slightly in question as Steve held your gaze.

"You deserve to have nice things given to you," Steve said softly. "You deserve more than to just live at the compound. You deserve a life other than just being an avenger."

Your brows pulled together in confusion.

"I couldn't move out of the compound even if I wanted to. You moved out...you've seen the prices of places around here."

"I'm not asking you to move out on your own, Y/N. I'm asking you to move in with me," Steve replied. "You've been staying over at my place a lot anyway. I thought I might as well ask you and make it official."

"Really?" You smiled softly at Steve before nodding at him. "You've got yourself a deal."

"Really, Y/N?" Steve couldn't stop himself from grinning.

"Really," you echoed, smiling softly.

Steve couldn't help but raise your hands to his mouth, kissing them before resting them back on the table.

"So all of this for you to ask me to move in with you?" You questioned as the waiter came with the bottle and two glasses, pouring wine into both.

"Sort of," Steve replied before taking a deep breath.

"What's going on, Steve?"

"Nothing," he chuckled. "I just feel relieved that you said yes."

You grabbed your glass and took a sip of wine.

"For a red, this really isn't bad," you said with a breathy laugh.

Steve took a sip and wrinkled his nose.
