THE SIN OF RAGE

Chapter 15

It had been a few hours since the pair had gotten married, they sat with their daughter and watched as the sun rose over the horizon, signalling the end of their time together,

Alexis: I wish we could do this every day,

Y/n: one day, when this shitshow is all over we will,

Merlin: yeah... we could settle down, build a nice house and just live in peace for the rest of our lives,

The trio fell silent after that, and just sat and watched as the forest came to life with the sounds of different animals waking up

Upon arriving back at the tavern, Merlin had attempted to quietly sneak back to her bedroom, only to be caught red handed by Elizabeth,

Merlin: hello Big sis sis
(writing this makes me cringe not sure why)

Elizabeth: hello merlin, what were you doing out so early?

Merlin: I was gathering firewood,

Elizabeth: why? We have more than enough,

Elizabeth pointed to a massive pile of wood stacked away in the corner of the tavern,

For the first time possibly ever, Merlin genuinely didn't know what to say, she didn't like this new feeling and it made her snappy

Merlin: please Elizabeth leave me be, I wish to be alone with my thoughts for a while *thoughts* there that should get her to leave me alone

Elizabeth: okay, would you like me to bring you anything to eat or drink?

Merlin: no, thank you

And with that Merlin retreated to her bedroom to get some rest, Elizabeth however, sat down at the bar with a knowing smirk,

Elizabeth: *quietly* who do you think set up the altar?

As the day progressed the sins were having an ordinary day, they were crouding around the perfect cube that held meliodas, when it had suddenly became night time, and escanor turned back into his puny form,

Diane: uhhh guys is it night time already?

The rest of the group looked out the window to see, it had indeed become night,

Merlin: that isn't night time, its darkness, somebody is blocking out the sun,

Before the sins had a chance to reply, an old man had appeared by the perfect cube,

He tapped the cube with his cane and it disappeared immediately, leaving meliodas unprotected, merlin attempted to cast a spell at him only for it to backfire and hit her instead, rendering her unconscious,

The man was thrown out of the tavern by the combined efforts of the sins, they begun to battle him, at first it looked as though they were winning, gowther and King hit him with a combined attack, they were sure they had got him, however, they couldn't have been more wrong,

Chandler: heh, if I hadn't blocked that probably would've killed me,

They were about to start fighting, when the man appeared beside gowther and used absolute order on him, rendering him useless in their fight,

The fight continued for another 10 or so minutes before gloxinia and drole stepped in and sent the sins on their way, however not 5 minutes later chandler had appeared and tried to attack the sins once more, only to be stopped by meliodas y/n,

Y/n: thats enough chandler, we have what we came for, let's leave before they regroup, as much as your sure of your abilities I can sense that both gloxina and drole are still alive, having them all fight us together would be troublesome and I wish not to make this mission longer than it needs to be,
