Nique POV

it was currently 12 in the morning and we were at the studio Dave and 21 owned. Come to find out Jayda set this session up.

"Okay so I been working on this song for a minute and I came to the conclusion that I need a female on the song." 21 spoke to Dave

"Shit Nique can sing... ain't that right" Dave said while turning his chair to face me

"Huh" I said while looking up from my phone

"Girl it ain't no huh, you heard what he said..now get to writing" Kiana said

I rolled my eyes and opened the notes app on my phone.

"So what's the song about" I asked so I can get a ideas on what to write about

"It's basically about a secret relationship... so whatever you can interpret from that, just write it" he said about to turn around to the controls

"Oh and I can let you hear the part I recorded for reference if you want" he said facing me again

"Yeah that's fine"

"Bet" he turned around and started to play the song.

Got a dark skin girl, 5'8 with the brown eyes
We been up and down, had a couple crashes but she still ride
She go to school, got two jobs, drive the same Kia 'cause it still slide

...

Girl I'm speakin' for future references 'cause I understand feelings change

"That's all I have right now but I feel like when I hear your lyrics I can go from there." 21 said while pausing the beat

"Thats cool...I mess with the beat too...you made it?" I asked genuinely curious because it was a vibe

"Actually Dave did" he said while patting his back

"It's dope for real, now I know who to hit up for some beats"

He smiled and everyone shared a laugh. I don't know why their laughing because I'm dead serious, he's about to be working overtime...he's going to be tired of seeing my face.

"Give  me five minutes and I'll have something ready..turn the beat on please"

He turned on the beat and I began to type my verse. I did get done I five minutes but I got carried away and started looking at one of my other songs I wrote.  As I was looking at the lyrics I wasn't pleased with it so I started over. If I wanted this to be the start of my music career I wanted to please my supporters but most importantly myself.

"Aye this another beat I was working on, I just need to find someone to sing on it" Dave said

As the beat played I fell in love with it. I knew then and there I had to get it before someone else does.

"How much you charging for it" I asked Dave

He turned around from the controls and spoke. "If you can impress me your verse I'll give it to you for free"

"Bet I'm ready...21 this about to be one of your best songs..thanks to me" I said getting up from the couch heading into the booth.
