Laura and Sam

The getaway.

*knock knock*
"Can I come in Laura" called Austin, Laura's brother from the other side of the door.
"Wait a sec I'm getting changed, okay come on in"
"Sorry to come so early but mom she has some news for you" he said with worry in his eyes.
"Uhhh what does Sharon want. She's barley even a mother to me."
Laura said pushing past Austin into the hallway.

You see Laura and her mother didn't have the best relationship. 4 years ago when Laura was 11 her father passed away and ever since then her mother became a workaholic which I guess you could say isn't that bad. But she never spent time with her daughter when she really needed it. When Laura's father passed away Austin her brother practically raised her. Not to forget Judy tho. Sharon Laura's mother had a business partner called Judy and Caroline judy's daughter became best friends with Laura so all the late nights Sharon worked Judy would look after Laura and Austin as if they were her own children.
"Ahh Laura dear come sit beside me" Sharon said while patting the space beside her.
"N-no is fine here I am" Laura said not looking Sharon in the eye.
"Well dear as you know I have a business trip coming up actually Judy is coming too. You see it's not the average 2 weeks at most but I'll be in Mexico sir 2 years." Sharon said looking Laura in the eye. " darling I'm sending you to Harland academy"
"WHAT NO" Laura shouted.
"Yes, you will be leaving with Caroline tomorrow."
"Caroline's going?"
"Yes"
"Fine I guess it won't be that bad."
" what are you doing standing there go and get packed at once, I will be leaving before Judy so you will stay the night with her and she can drop you and Caroline if in the morning"
"Of course your leaving early can put up with me can you"
"WHAT DID YOU SAY!!"
"I think you know fine well what I said.

----three hours later after packing------
"Are you ready to go Laura" Austin questioned.
"Yeah, but where are you going?"
"I'm starting in NYU in April so I'll stay here until I can move up there."
"Oh okay"
"Don't even sad Laura. Think if it this was you'll ask loads more friends you get to live with Caroline in your own dorm and your mom free for 2 years!" Austin said trying to lighten her mood.
"Yeah i guess when you put it like that how can I refuse" Laura said with a hint of sarcasm.
"Come on I have to take you to judy's."
(Later at judy's)
"Hey biatch, why do dim looking" Caroline questioned her best friend.
"Ugh nothing just can't wait to get away that's all"
"Well good"
"what do you mean good"Laura said looking concerned.
" wellll...."
"COME ONE CAROLINE TELL ME "
"Since your mom is leaving early tomorrow we are leaving late tonight"
"Oh cool"
"No Laura your missing the point"
"What do you mean missing the point Caroline"
"I mean that when I say I mean we are leaving tonight I mean tonight in the next 20 minutes"
" oh okay OH OKAY WE GOTTA GET MY STUFF."
Quickly running up the stairs like a herd of elephants Laura and Caroline got all their shit together and before the knew it they were in the car ready to go.
