Chapter 6

Kate felt an uneasy feeling that shot her up from sleep. She felt like throwing up so she quickly ran towards the bathroom but it was occupied.

"Kris" She thought before continuously knocking on the door. She heard the sound of water from the shower stop and the door opens revealing Kris half naked looking all hot and sexy with water droplets dripping from his hair.

The feeling of throwing up came again so she quickly rushed into the bathroom towards the toilet bowl taking Kris by surprise.

"Hey! What do you think you are....." before he could finish his sentence, Kate started throwing up leaving Kris shocked

He quickly composed himself and kneeled down next to her.He started rubbing her back while tucking her hair behind her ears.

"It's alright, i'm here" He kept comforting her

Then he quickly grabbed a towel from the cupboard and handed it to her

"Thanks" She said weakly

Kris then rushed to the kitchen to get her a glass of water

"Here, drink this" He said while offering the glass of water to Kate

"Feeling better?" He asks her

Kate just nods at him

"What happened? How long has this been going on?" he asked her while caressing her cheeks

"Umm..this is the third day?" She replied unsure of it either

"Have you gone to the clinic?"

She shook her head

"Okay, just rest the whole day. I'll call D.O and let him know that you won't be able to go to work and I'll send the kids to school so don't worry " he said before kissing her forehead

"How about breakfast for the kids? Kate asks Kris

"I'll make something or get something on the way for them" Kris said while getting up from the bed

Kris quickly returned to the bathroom to finish up what he was suppose to do and changed into his clothes. He woke his children up and got them ready for school.

"Where's mummy?" Shereen his youngest daughter asks him

"Mummy is not well. So, she's resting"

"Again?" Sheryll asked

"Yes darling. How long has your mummy been like this Sheryll? Kris asks his daughter slightly panicked

Well, they never really paid any attention towards each other because they were busy bickering about every single thing for the past weeks.

"2 or 3 days I think daddy" she answered Kris

"Mummy always throws up while eating" She added

"Alright, let mummy rest and daddy will send you two to school"

"We'll get some breakfast on the way" he continued while heading for the door

"Wait!" Shreen exclaims before running towards Kris and Kate's room

She quickly climbs up the bed and kisses Kate on the cheeks

"Bye mummy. See you later"

Sheryll also kissed Kate's cheeks before leaving so Kris also walked towards Kate and kissed her on the lips. Well, it was more like a peck. "Sleep Well, I'll be back" he said and left

Kate smiled and waved at her family. "Be good, kids" She said as they all stood at the door ready to leave, waved back.

After sending Shereen to the daycare and Sheryll to pre-school, he headed back home. It was never his intention to go to work after witnessing Kate's situation. He has already planned on sending his kids to school and then head back home so that he can take her to the hospital for a check up.

Kris could actually guess the situation that Kate is going through but he still isn't really sure about it. Therefore, to cease his curiosity he has to take her to the hospital

Kate who was sleeping heard someone at their apartment door. She was about to walk towards it but unfortunately that feeling of throwing up came again making her run towards the bathroom instead.

Kris, who managed to come in saw Kate running towards the bathroom with her hands covering her mouth preventing to throw up on the floor.

After throwing up and and cleaning herself up, Kate stepped out of the room looking surprised. She sees Kris dozing off at the couch. She diddn't expect him to be home at this time. So, she walks over to him and slightly taps Kris shoulder trying to wake him up

Kris stirs a little before opening his eyes only to see his beautiful wife staring at him in suprise

"What are you doing here at this time? She asks him

"I'm here to take you to the hospital. So, go get ready"

"What about work?"

"I took the day off. So, quickly go and change" He ordered

"Okay okay. Chill honey"

It was all silent in the car except for the sound of engine, only that can be heared. It wasn't an awkward silent. It was a comfortable one but still they never exchange any words

Kris and Kate arrived at the hospital in less than 30 minutes. He parked the car and turned off the engine while unbuckling his seat belt. He turned towards Kate only to find her sleeping soundly

"She must be tired going through the throwing up session" He thought before waking her up

"We are here?" She asks trying to figure out where they are exactly

"Yeah, come on"

"Hospital?" She asks after seeing the building

"Yes"

They walked towards the reception explaining Kate's condition and they were asked to wait for the doctor

About 20 minutes later, a nurse came out from one of the room calling out for Kate

They both got up and walked into a room that was led by the nurse

"Hello, good afternoon" the doctor greeted

"Good afternoon" Kate and Kris greeted the doctor

"So, I heard that you have been vomiting for the past few days. Am I right? the doctor asks Kate

"Yes" She answered

"Have you been feeling dizzy?"

"Yes"

"And how long have you been feeling dizzy?"

"It only started today morning"

"Hmm.. Let me check you" Please lie down here the doctor instructed Kate

"And you can take a seat over there" the doctor spoke to Kris pointing towards the empty seats

15 minutes later, The doctor walked out of the room with Kate

"Have a seat" the doctors says to Kris and Kate

The both of them sat down as they were instructed by the doctor

"So, what's wrong with my wife?" Kris asked

"She's doing fine actually"

"Congratulations Mr and Mrs Wu! Your wife is 2 weeks and 5 days pregnant! The doctor beamed
