"Nothing, Azther just left me somewhere and on the way back I was being chased by hunters." I said sitting down on the couch. I held my breath hoping they would believe me. They all nodded. I let out a small breath.

They all stayed silent and an awkward tension was in the air making me extremely uncomfortable.

"I have one question. How did you guys die? You guys are angels so you must've died to become one." Luke asked breaking the silence.

"I actually was never human. I was just born in heaven." I explained.

"How old are you exactly?" He asked.

"I've been alive since the first humans were made, I wasn't there when Adam and Eve were created but I was there after atleast a fifty thousand humans were created. So I'm around 105,233 years old." I said playing with my hair.

Luke's eyes widened, "Wow, you look pretty good for a girl that age."

Laylah and Aurelia both snickered and even heard a 'smooth' come out of one of them making Luke's face turn red. "Thanks." I said rolling my eyes. "I don't think big, glowing masses of celestial matter age."

"Wait, but if you were not a human before how do you have a body?"

"Every angel has a body. When an angel is created, God creates a vessel for the angel so it can safely roam earth. The very few angels that were humans before just keep there old bodies." I explained. Luke nodded.

"So how did you guys die?" He said turning to Laylah and Aurelia.

"I drowned when my mom accidentally drove our car into a lake. I managed to cut her seatbelt, and she swam up but when she came back down for me, she was too late." Aurelia said looking down at her feet. "She was pregnant with my brother so I coudnt let all of us die. My brother didnt make it though. He was born dead." Aurelia explained.

"So you've been an angel for a little while then." Luke said. Aurelia nodded.

"A dinosaur ate me." Laylah blurted out.

"What?! Really?" Luke said with wide eyes. Laylah laughed and shook her head.

"No I died because of a really bad illness that spread quickly here in the United states. That was over a hundred years ago." Laylah explained.

"So there's no way of telling that you will be chosen to be an angel?" Luke asked.

"Yea I guess." Laylah replied.

"Also one more question. Stella, what are you expecting to do for the next few days. You need to go to school." Luke said playing with his hands.

"I know I do it's just-" I was interupted by a high pitched noise. I groaned knowing exactly who had the audacity to step foot here again.

"Estelle, I'm sorry you just have to let me explain." Azther said. I stood up and faced him.

"Azther you should leave." I said not making eye contact with him.

"Just listen to me." He begged taking a few steps forward. I nodded. "The only reason I have killed angels is because they've tried to kill me. Fallen angels will do anything to gain power and control over people. I also tried protecting a few humans from angels so I killed the angels. Please believe me."

I sighed, "I believe you." I replied still not looking at him. Laylah and Aurelia both stared at me. They looked a bit mad from me lying to them.

"Thank you." He said walking to me and embracing me. I tensed up a bit but hugged him back. He pulled away and cleared his throat. "Sorry, it's just I've never been friends with anyone who hasn't tried to kill me." He said leaning against the wall.

"It's fine." I said smiling. "Back to your question, Luke. I don't think it's good idea for an angel to go to a human school." I said glancing back at Luke.

"I think I would be fun." Azther said smirking.

"Excuse me? How old is your vessel supposed to be?" I said raising my eyebrows.

"Eighteen." He said still smirking.

"I thought you were like thirty." I said jokingly.

"Hey!" He yelled laughing.

"I think it's still a bad idea. People will notice something off about us. Like our unnaturally blue eyes or our Tree of Life mark on our wrist." I said rolling up my sleeve.

"Then we will just wear long sleeves or tell everyone it's a tattoo." Azther said behind me. I rolled my eyes.

"Okay fine, you and I are going to school tomorrow." I said turning to Azther. "Just make sure to let everyone know your name is Austin. My name will be Stella." I said sitting down on the couch.

"Any last names?" Laylah said raising her eyebrows.

"I call being Austin Moore." Azther said raising his hand. "I saw that name in a book.

"What will your last name be?" Luke asked me.

"I don't know. Ill just stick to your last name and be Stella Davis." I said.

"I'll call in and tell them that my two long lost cousins are going to be going to this school." Luke said standing.

"Nope, tell them Stella is your cousin. Ill just be a new kid from somewhere else." Azther replied.

We all stopped talking when he heard the front door open.

"Oh shit." Luke whispered. I turned around to see a guy walking in with a suitcase. He closed the door and looked up at us and froze.

"Uh, hello?" He said glancing at Luke. Luke laughed nervously.

"Jack, I thought you were staying in Colorado until Saturday."

"I can't miss that many days in college or I will be overloaded with homework. Who are these people?" He said placing his suitcase on the couch.

"These are my friends. Stella, Austin and..." Luke paused. He glanced at me for help. Good thing he remembered about the whole 'don't say an angels name' thing.

"...Aria and Leah. They were just leaving." I said finishing Luke's sentence. Aurelia and Laylah both nodded and walked to the front door.

"It was nice meeting you Jack." Laylah said walking out followed by Aurelia.

"You too Austin." I said glancing back at Azther. He rolled his eyes and walked out. I closed the door and faced Luke and Jack.

"I hope you don't mind that Stella is staying over for a couple days." Luke said walking over and standing next to me.

"Wait shes...." Jack paused and his eyes widened. "Why didn't you tell me you had a girlfriend?" Jack yelled.

"No no no. She's not my girlfriend." Luke said glancing down at me. "She's just a friend."

"Aww my little brother is all grown up. I can't remember the last time you had a girlfriend." Jack said slapping Luke on the back. I looked down at the ground and tried to hold in a laugh.

"Jack she's just a friend. Stella stop laughing!" He said moving away from Jack.

"Okay, okay." I said holding my hands up in surrender. He just glared at me.

Luke then explained everything. About how he found me on a road and how I ran away from home, blah blah. He did leave out the whole 'she's also a fallen angel that has killed quite a few people' thing.
