In this digital world, with instant gratification from our self-phones and demand for our attention every, the selfie generation is facing a whole new set of problems: social media addiction. These are some of my sketches as well as reference pictures. This piece was a bit of a challenge because it was difficult to blend the chalky texture of pastel with the smooth liquidy coverage of acrylic paint. However, in the end, the various mediums blended together surprisingly well. 

I really hope you guys can relate to the loneliness social media can bring. Truth is, technology is programmed to be beneficial, but it proves to be a destructive force when so integrated into our lives. More than often, after a day of texting, posting, liking, commenting, we are left feeling more alone than ever.
