25) drunken state

I went to Liam's bedroom. He wasn't in.
I barely took a walk outside, when I bumped into Mrs. Jane. She works at the mansion.
"Dear, are you searching for sir Liam,?".
She asked. She walks ahead, pressing her hand against each other.
I looked at her.
"Yes, did you see him, ma'am,?". I questioned her.
She nods.
"Yes dear, he went to the playground, just a few blocks away,".
Mrs. Jane announced. She pointed in the direction.
"Seriously, thank you,". I said. I ran following her direction.

I came to the playground. I spotted Liam sitting next to a swing.
I went ahead, navigating towards him.

Liam lift's his head up. He finds me standing before him.
"Sara, I can take care of myself, you do know that right,?".
He said. ..... He lifts a beer bottle in his hand.

I came in and seized the bottle from him.
"Give me that,". I said

Liam gets enraged
"Sara, give me back my bottle,". He says. He falls to the ground.
"No! I will not,". I replied. I threw away the bottle.
Liam giggled
"Do you think getting rid of that bottle will stop me from drinking,?".
He said. He brings out another bottle...

"How many bottles are you even hiding,?".
I asked. I tried to take away the bottle in his hand.

I sat down next to him.
He turns seeing the sad look on my face.

"Why the long face Sara, it's not as if I am dying, right?".
Liam sneered.

I shook my head in displeasure, "look, Liam, I understand what you are going through but please,!".

I tried speaking. But he gets hysterical.

" Please what, do you even know what I am going through, the pain, not only for me but my son, I watched the corpse of my wife, being taken away after giving birth to him, for more years, I acted the duties of a mother and father, so don't tell the sappy stories of understanding,".
He shouted at me.

Liam's anger is justified, and if I was in his shoes, I would have done worst.

"Okay then, I won't try to understand anything but I'll gladly join you and get intoxicated".
I grabbed the bottle in his hand.

"You do know you cannot hold in your alcohol because when you are drunk, you bring out the crazy version of yourself,"
Liam said. He giggled.

"Wow Liam, I didn't know you knew me that well,".
I answered. Liam grinned and looks away.
