I'm Here (Supergirl AU)

Intruder

Supergirl trailed behind Alex, her cape flowing elegantly down her back as she bombarded Agent Danvers with her time spent with Lena.

"She was quite nervous at first, I don't think she was expecting to see me again. I was going to leave her alone, but then she invited me to sit with her!" Kara gushed. "She was so kind, Alex! She bought me a dozen of my favorite desserts!"

Alex just rolled her eyes and picked up a locked tablet.

"And- and we talked about celebrity OTP's! Can you believe it?!"

"Kara, please, I'm trying to work here."

"That's not even your tablet, Alex."

Alex sighed, raising her hand, "look, it's great that you make friends, but don't you think that making friends with Ms. Luthor is dangerous."

"Nope!"

Alex's left eye twitched. "Ms. Luthor is-"

"-Not her brother, Alex. Lex and Clark have their rivalry, but I won't let that bother me." Kara cut in sharply, before sighing, "comparing the two of them is like comparing us, we aren't the same despite sharing a last name."

"She was raised in the same household."

"So were we," Kara retorted softly, " and we have our differences."

They stared at each other for a bit before Kara said softly, "she had this look in her eye when I decided to sit down with her, like she was shocked. She was quiet at first but then she loosened up a bit but she still sounded so formal... I would really like to be friends with her... I don't know, I just have a feeling she gets lonely.... She's younger than me and a CEO, and with everything with Lex, I can't imagine what she's going through." Kara ranted, pacing around Alex, "maybe I could run into her again at Noonan's someday?"

Kara turned back to her sister, a pout on her face, "just, whenever you meet her, be my big sister, not the agent. I think we all could be really good friends." Alex struggled to look away from Kara's pout. "Please."

Alex just nodded and placed down the tablet.

"However, there is one thing that bothered me," Kara muttered. "She likes kale! Can you believe it?! I tried to give her one of my donuts but she ordered this thing that had kale in it! I could even smell it. "

Alex groaned, turning away from Kara and started to walk away.

"Noonan's now sells food with kale!" Kara lamented, trailing behind her. "I feel betrayed, Alex! Betrayed!" She shook a fist.

"Kara, get over it! They have dozens of options! You'll be fine!" Alex yelled back.

"But of all things?! KALE?! It tastes awful! It's bitter! I-it's evil!"

"At least Ms. Luthor eats healthy! When was the last time you ate a vegetable?!"

"Yesterday!" Kara retorted.

"It was frozen, wasn't it?!" Alex asked rhetorically. She knew Kara.

"That wasn't what you asked!"

"Ladies," Both Kara and Alex stopped when they heard J'onn's stern voice and footsteps. "While this conversation is interesting, I'm sure," there was an underlying tone of sarcasm, "I suggest keeping your voices down."

"Of course, sir."

"Sorry, J'onn."

J'onn gave them a stern stare, before beginning to walk away. He paused, "kale is quite disgusting."
