Chapter 17- Getting myself into a pile of lies

*Emma’s P.O.V.*

*At the Ball*

I walked in receiving lots of smiles from younger looking guys and then some smiles from some old guys. “You were just eye raped about fifteen times” Sam said as we walked into a big room where there were a lot of people dancing. “Look there’s Stacy!” Sam cried out running over to a big couch where Stacy was sitting on her phone. I followed her over and gave Stacy a bright smile, “You look rather lovely tonight” She said getting up and hugging Sam and I. “Thank so do you” I said winking at her. “Where are the boys?” Sam asked looking around for the screaming girls who would probably be following them around. “They’re on their way they just had to convince Zayn to come and make an appearance” I rolled my eyes at just the sound of his name. I had never hated anyone as much as I hated Zayn. Stacy’s eyes moved down to my hand and she smiled. “Nice ring” She said winking. I rolled my eyes “Haha thanks” I said walking over to the punch bowl.

A couple of minutes later I felt someone wrap their arm around my shoulder. “Uhm personal space” I said turning around thinking it was Niall. “Sorry” Zayn said looking at me and frowning. “What the fuck Zayn” I said bluntly before walking over to Harry and Stacy. “What the hell was that about?” Harry asked, he must have seen the whole thing because he looked pissed off but confused at the same time. “I honestly have no idea” I said rolling my eyes and taking a seat next to him. “Hello ladies and Harry” Liam said walking over and giving us all hugs. “Where’s the rest of the boys?” I asked looking behind him and spotting the rest of the gang. Which was only Niall, Louis, Josh, and Andy. “Hey guys” Josh said cheerfully. I ran over to him and wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him a big hug. “I’ve missed you so much Joshy!” I said smiling like an idiot. “It’s good to see you too Em! I’ve been so lost without you!” He said in a girly voice. I slapped his arm and turned to Louis and Niall. “Hello boys” I said giving Louis a hug. I awkwardly hugged Niall but he just moved away before I could wrap my arms around him. “Okay” I said awkwardly turning back to Josh.

“Want to dance?” I asked not caring about Niall pouting behind me, Josh nodded and I grabbed his hand and dragged him out onto the dance floor. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he put his hands on my waist, I moved closer to him and whispered into his ear. “I like you Josh” His face turned into a puzzled expression but I ignored it and kept dancing.

*Louis’ P.O.V.*

I was sitting next to Harry chatting about his plans with Stacy for tomorrow when I looked out onto the dance floor to see Josh and Emma dancing very close together. Harry turned to where I was looking and raised an eyebrow. “What’s that about?” He asked Stacy whose face turned into a shocked expression. “Harry we need to talk” She said pulling him out of the room. “What about Louis?” I called after them, but they were already in the hallway…

*Harry’s P.O.V.*

“Harry we need to talk” Stacy said looking kind of mad. She looks so cute when she’s mad. She grabbed my hand and started pulling me out I heard Louis call something out to me but I ignored him and went into the hallway with Stacy. “Babe what’s wrong?” I asked looking worriedly at her. She frowned. “Well you know how Niall asked Emma to marry him?” I nodded “How could I forget” “Yeah well he told Josh the truth, that management forced him to set all of this up for show and if Emma didn’t agree to the marriage they would find someway to kick her out of school” Stacy said shaking her head in frustration. “What?!” I said furiously. “Yep. Niall and Emma don’t want to be together, well that’s what they both told me, but they are going to have to get married and put on a show or else Emma won’t be heading back to school. The marriage will be a sham” She said looking like she was about to cry. I frowned but pulled her in and held her tight. “It’s alright babe we’ll figure something out” I said releasing her and walking back into the party.

*Emma’s P.O.V.*

*At the after party*   

            I got a text saying that if I didn’t stop dancing with Josh my schooling would go bye bye. I rolled my eyes and made my way over to Niall who had been taking shot after shot, I put my hand on his back and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “Hey babe lookin’ good” He said winking at me. I rolled my eyes, when he said all that stuff to me at the park I thought he was serious. Then he took in into a corner and explained this whole little plan. Now I hate him. He pulled my head down and whispered in my ear, “Look you are going to act like you want to be here okay” He said spewing his alcohol smelling breath all over me. “Yeah sure hunny” I said sitting next to him on a stool. Josh came over and sat next to me and gave me a small smile. “How are you holding up?” He asked me. “Great” I said lying.

*Two hours later*

“Alright everyone I have an announcement!” Niall screamed while climbing up onto the top of the bar. By this time he was completely wasted so I was a little nervous of what was going to come out of his mouth. There were paps everywhere snapping pictures and taking video feeds. “My wonderful, beautiful, sometimes fucked up, but amazing girlfriend Emma and I are getting married” He said jumping down and holding up my left hand which had the engagement ring “Niall” bought me on it. There were gasps from everyone but I just sat and smiled a completely fake smile. Tomorrow apparently Niall and I were going house hunting. What a blast that will be.
