Jasp:"so where's old lady"
Tri:"she's apart of the bigger circle around the congress"
I look and I see her, I furrow my eyebrows
Jasp;"tri why are we here"
Tri:"the village was on fire, we could've died"
Jasp:"why are we hiding in the corner"
She looks at me and she presses her lips together
Tri:"I come here to listen in on what's happening and stuff, and this involved you so I thought you might've liked to hear"
I nod and we get quiet
Voice 1:"what's going on tonight"
Voice 5:"bosnia has sent a few troops over to destroy our village"
Old lady:"is there a reason for it"
Voice 8:"I don't know but I saw one of the soldiers peek into one of the tents but didn't set it on fire"
Voice 1:'why not"
Old lady:"jasper was probably in it"
Voice 5 slams his hand on the floor
Voice 5:"they don't show mercy and we all know it. Why would they burn ours and but not hers"
Old lady:"maybe one of the soldiers had a change of heart"
Voice 1:"c'mon now think about it,this happened because they want something and the something could be her"
I look at tri and she looks at me
Jasp:"is this my fault"
Tri:"no, bosnia is full of greedy bastards, they want everything for themselves, even the damn sand"
I can't help but to feel guilty, I have to hurry up and get my memory back.
BOOM
The doors of the temple fly open and tri pulls me down and we shimmy into the crawl space. The attention of everyone goes to who just bursted through the door.
Soldier 1:"I am here to claim jasper tennill"
I look at tri
The soldiers start walking around,
Tri whispers:"don't worry this crawl space is invisible and no one can get in"
I nod as that sets some of my fear to rest
Soldier 2:"our special guest back home is awaiting the arrival of jasper"
Soldier 1:"and we've identified her when we ambushed your village"
Voice 1:"I knew it'
Soldier 2:"you knew what"
Voice 1:"nothing"
Soldier 3:"we'll wait here until we have her in our custody"
Old lady:"we don't know where she is"
Soldier 3:"find her"
He says sternly while looking her in the eyes
Soldier 1:"why are you still sitting here, disperse"
He yells, everyone gets up and rushes out of the temple.
Soldier 2:"sybil what do they want with her"
Sybil:" I don't know, but she's valuable to our special guest, so that means, make sure she's found, alive"
Soldier 3:"ahamad,what if she isn't here"
Ahamad:"then we're screwed, you know what happens if we return empty handed"
Soldier 3:"our heads get cut off"
They continue to talk as me and tri look at each other, we whisper to each other in our ears.
Tri;"I don't know why they want you,I wish I knew"
Jasp:"it's okay, but who's the special guest"
Tri:"I'm not sure"
Jasp:"what if it's one of the people I'm supposed to remember"
Tri:"that could be possible"
Jasp:"we can't stay couped up in here"
Tri:"I know, there's a door behind us but it's far and you can't turn around, and be careful not to touch anything"
Jasp:"why"
Tri:"this place Is laced with strings that ring bells and that'll give away where we are"
I nod
Tri:"old lady put them here for when she couldn't find me"
Jasp:"do I go first"
Tri;"no I will "
I nod and she starts going back wards carefully. After a few minutes I hear a door open,
Tri;"okay come on"
I start moving backwards
Tri:"lift your left foot up"
I do as she says and I keep going,
Tri :"okay lift your butt up, and keep it up and come back the rest of the way"
I do as she says and I reach to where she is, I climb out of the crawlspace and I hug her.
Tri:"c'mon let's get going"
