(Harmony's POV)
We were in the kitchen making the love spell to give to Ben.
"All right. It says we need one tear, and I never cry" I said reading from my spell book
"Let's just chop up some onions" Carlos said
"No. It says that we need one year of human sadness" Mal said
"And this love spell gets the best reviews so we have to follow it exactly" I said
"A tears a tear" Jay said
"That's not true Jay. Both have antibodies and enzymes but an emotional tear has more protein based hormones then a reflex tear" Evie said
"Listen to you" Mal said nudging Evie
"Yeah I knew that" Jay said
"Did not" Carlos said
Soon the door opened to reveal Lonnie. I quickly covered my spell book with a napkin.
"There you are Harmony. I was looking for you. You know all the girls want you to do their hair! Midnight snack huh? Whatcha making?" Lonnie said
"Nothing special. Just cookies" I said before Lonnie dipped her finger in the batter "oh no!"
"What I'm not gonna double dip" she said
"Do you feel anything?" Mal asked
"Yeah like maybe it might be missing something?" I asked
"Hey there" Jay said with a flirty tone
"Could use some chips" Lonnie said not effected by the potion
"Chips?" Jay said
"And those are?" I said with half relief.
"Chocolate chips. Just the most important food group. Wait, didn't your moms ever make you guys chocolate chip cookies? Like when you're sad, and they're fresh out of the oven with a big old glass of milk and she makes you laugh and puts everything in perspective and...." she trailed on and we all just looked at her with sort of sad looks "why are you all looking at me like that?"
"It's just different where we're from" I said remembering that my mom didn't even want me in her life.
"Well yeah I know. I just thought, even villains love their kids..." she said and we all looked down "oh....how awful" she said putting her hand on mine. I looked up at her and saw a tear fall from her eye. I quickly wiped it away flicking it into the batter.
"Yeah well big bummer, but we have to get these into the oven, so thank you so so much for coming by. Have a good night. I'll see you tomorrow. Evil dreams" I said pushing Lonnie out of the kitchen
"Good night" Lonnie said
"Goodnight" I said before I closed the door
"Okay boys cookie sheet, Evie Harmony oven" Mal said
"Yes ma'am" Evie said
We finished the cookies and then went to bed.
