Y/n POV

This is going to be so gross, I think to myself as I continue setting up my prank. I'm not backing down until Tae admits that I'm the better prankster.

"Y/N, GET YOUR LAZY ASS DOWN HERE NOW!" I hear Yoongi complain.

"Fine, I'm coming!" I quickly grab my prank and slide down the railing to stand next to Yoongi, whose face scrunches up almost immediately.

"What's in there? That is rank," he says. "When are you and Tae just going to call it and stop making the rest of us miserable? You're both exceptional pranksters."

"We're gonna call it when he admits that I'm better than him," I retort.

"Aishhh, we're going to be so late," Yoongi complains as we start running to the studio.

"Can it. I have Panda Express for y'all, but I'll eat it myself if you complain," I say. That shuts him up quick.

We arrive at the studio ten minutes late and Jimin fist bumps. "Yes! I wasn't the late one today!" he says triumphantly.

"I brought Panda Express for you guys because I'm amazing!" I say, handing each of the boys their favorite. They all can't wait to dig in, but I relish in watching Tae's face contort with disgust.

"Are these Brussels sprouts? And," he says, sniffing the carton, "HOT SAUCE! OW!" That's it for me. I double over and crack up.

"GOTCHA!" I shouted through my laughs.

"Y/n, I hope you know that he's gonna kill you," Namjoon says.

"Nah. He's just going to try and prank me back," I reply.

"And the cycle continues," Jin groans.

As expected, Tae did try to prank me back, replacing my shampoo with neon green hair dye. And it almost worked.

I toss him the bottle of dye. "You're gonna have to do better than that," I say, watching as he starts scratching his face.

"You've fallen for that before!" he says, continuing to scratch.

"Scratching's only going to make the poison oak worse. I rubbed some on your pillowcase. Here." I toss him a second bottle. "Calamine lotion. Works wonders."

"POISON OAK? ARE YOU SERIOUS?" he shouts. He shudders as he applies the calamine lotion to his face. "You're washing my pillowcase. I hope you know that."

A week passed with no pranks, and it's making me wonder what's going on. Until I come home from an outing with some friends and find a vase of roses in the living room of my apartment.

"What is this?" I mutter, breathing in the smell of the roses.

"I was listening to some old BTS songs yesterday," comes Tae's voice. "And one of them...it reminded me of someone special. Someone that I find myself missing way more than I've ever missed anyone when I'm not around them."

Then he starts to sing to me, the bridge from "Spring Day:"

You know it all
You're my best friend
The morning will come again
Because no darkness
No season
Can last forever

"T-Tae, if this is a prank, then you got me," I say, about to cry.

He takes another step towards me and takes my hands. "This isn't a prank. I mean every bit of it."

And then his arms are around me and his lips are on mine as he kisses me sweetly. I don't hesitate to kiss him back, cupping his sweet face with one hand and wrapping my arm around him to hold him close. His kisses are strong and passionate, but his touch is so loving, so gentle, I'm about to cry. The taste is like heaven, a taste meant only for Tae's lips.

When we finally separate, it's for air, but he doesn't let me go. He has his adorable boxy grin that makes me go weak in the knees across his face. "So, when you made out with me, was that a prank?"

"Not a prank." I peck his lips. "Neither is this: why don't we stop being best friends?"

"I was thinking...let's stay best friends, but let's be more than just friends." He sweeps a bit of my hair out of my face and looks deep into my eyes. "Be my girlfriend, y/n."

"You even have to ask?" He smiles and kisses me again, lifting me off my feet.

"I got another question for you."

"And what's that?"

"Can we sign a peace treaty on this prank war?"

I can't help but smile. "Are you serious? Now that you're my boyfriend, I'm going to up my prankster game."
