Yonji chuckled, leaning in conspiratorially. "Oh, burn~" he murmured, savoring the exchange.
He barely had time to register the movement before Sanji's foot connected with his face, sending him reeling with a startled yelp.
Reiju watched from the sidelines, a bemused smile tugging at her lips. Finally, these idiots are showing a bit of feeling.
【As the tension built, the mirror began to blur, flickering in and out of focus, intentionally or not skipping over the next scene. A moment later, it cleared abruptly, revealing Luffy and Sanji, both clad in Marine uniforms, aprons tied snugly around their waists, a comedic sight to behold.】
Sengoku, watching from the other side of the mirror, deadpanned. Annoyance simmered beneath his calm facade, mingling with reluctant admiration for the pirates' ridiculous ingenuity. Their intrusion was infuriating, yet undeniably entertaining.
On the other side, the pirates reveled in the chaos. Laughter bubbled up like champagne, unrestrained and infectious. Garp clapped his hands together, his booming laugh shaking the air.
"See?! He looks great in a Marine uniform!" he bellowed, eyes alight with pride.
Coby, standing stiffly nearby, hesitated. His brow creased. But Garp-san... that's a Marine cook uniform, he mused, biting back a chuckle.
Shanks, sprawled lazily, barely lifted an eyebrow. "Oh~ looks great," he drawled, voice soaked in boredom, his lack of enthusiasm making Garp's excitement seem almost deliberate.
"You sayin' something, red-haired?!" Garp's roar rattled the walls.
Shanks only grinned and stuck out his tongue. Unbothered.
【Sanji, hands firmly planted on his hips, pursed his lips, the corners of his mouth tightening into a frown. "This is good. We'll probably look less suspicious in these uniforms," he stated, his brow furrowing with determination.】
"You guys look suspicious," Cavendish interjected, his tone dripping with sarcasm as he observed the bizarre sight before him.
【Ignoring the comment entirely, Luffy sniffed the air, his nose twitching like a hound on the hunt. His eyes widened, brimming with unfiltered excitement. "Something smells good," he declared, his grin stretching wide, as if he'd stumbled upon a feast laid out just for him.
Sanji barely spared him a glance. Instead, he strode toward the green door at the far end of the room, fingers grazing the worn handle before giving it a slow push. The hinges groaned in protest, the sound slicing through the silence like a quiet warning.
"So, is this the kitchen?" His voice was even, but anticipation thrummed beneath his words.
The room stilled. Then....voices.
Muffled whispers slithered through the cracks, curling into the air like an ominous breeze. They leaned in, listening, breaths held tight.
"Hey, I heard some ships came in."
"What?! Then those assholes are finally coming?!"
"Yeah, those brothers are coming here."
"First impressions are important. Show them no mercy!"
"Yeah!!"
The tension coiled, thick and suffocating. The Vinsmoke brothers exchanged glances, silent, knowing. Excitement and unease warred in their expressions, anticipation sharp as a blade. Chaos was coming. And it was coming fast.】
Amidst the bustling clamor of the Pandemonium, the faint murmur of conversation floated through the air, like whispers carried on a gentle breeze. Although distant, the sound resonated with a clarity that only the ship's enhanced acoustics could provide, allowing every word to be heard by the crew scattered about the galley.
【As Sanji leaned against the counter, focused intently on the simmering pots, a figure emerged from the throng of noise, shambling toward him with all the grace of a ragged ghost. It was Luffy, his eyes glazed over in a dazed fascination, as if entranced by the promise of food. He stumbled forward, his feet dragging across the wooden floor in a zombie-like fashion, utterly captivated.
"Meat! I smell meat!" Luffy exclaimed, his voice an excited whine that cut through the kitchen's hustle.】
"Pfft—" Ace snorted, a laugh bubbling up from his chest as he shook his head, amusement dancing in his eyes.
【Sanji barely had time to react before Luffy's shoulder brushed against his, a light but telling nudge. The gesture, though fleeting, carried an all-too-familiar mix of endearment and impending chaos. He exhaled sharply, leveling Luffy with a deadpan stare, equal parts annoyance and reluctant fondness.
Brows furrowing, Sanji leaned in, his voice a sharp whisper edged with exasperation. "Is the word 'patience' not in your vocabulary?!" His arm shot out, blocking Luffy's path like a well-practiced reflex, stopping him just short of storming into the kitchen like a human hurricane.
But Luffy only grinned wider, eyes alight with mischief. His nostrils flared as the scent of food wrapped around him, thick and intoxicating. A bead of saliva glistened at the corner of his mouth, his entire body practically vibrating with anticipation.
"My vocabulary consists of 'all the meat you can eat' and 'free refills!'" he declared, his voice brimming with unshakable enthusiasm.】
The rest of the crew stood in stunned silence, exchanging glances that spoke volumes of their disbelief.
Everyone: "...."
What kind of vocabulary is that?!
