"Yeah? Yeah, babe." He said, giving us one last look before rushing back to the rest of the class.

"The good news is, we've all got our own rooms." I heard Mr Harrington say, and I looked at Peter.

"I'm sneaking in your room." I said, making him laugh.

"I'd be disappointed if you didn't."

"You knew I was going to say that, didn't you?" I asked, and Peter nodded.

"Of course I did."

"Parker? Haynes?" Fury asked, and I sighed.

Here we go.

"Yes, sir?" Peter asked, and I crossed my arms over my chest, feeling the annoyance settle in.

We made our way to the meeting spot, finding Fury, Maria and Beck.

"That thing's going to be here in a few hours, are we boring you?"

"They're not bored, I reckon they're just thinking about how you kidnapped them." Beck said, and I smirked.

"This guy gets it."

"They had obstacles, I just removed them." Fury responded, making me scoff.

"They still won't evacuate the city." Maria said, sounding frustrated.

I was too, though.

I didn't want MJ and Ned in harms way.

"Idiots."

"So what's the plan, Parker?" Fury asked, and my boyfriend sighed.

"I will be in the cathedral tower keeping watch for the fire monster." He said, and I nodded in agreement.

"When that shows up, I will radio you guys, and then Mr Beck and I will-" Peter continued, but Beck interrupted him.

"My name is Mysterio." He said, giving Peter a playful look, making both of us laugh.

"That's when Mysterio and I will move in."

"Good, and Harper?" Fury asked, making me scoff.

"I'm gonna see what fighting fire with fire does."

"If that doesn't work?" He questioned me, and I looked into the distance.

"Move any big obstacles out of it's way, we don't want it to consume anything too big, or just act as a distraction."

"Good."

"Guys, listen to me." Beck said, and we looked at him.

"The only hope we have is to stop it here and now, no matter what the cost."

"We can do that." I said, making him nod.

"Keep it away from civilians if you can, but most importantly, keep it away from metal." Beck said, and we stayed silently, letting him rant.

"If it gets too big, it'll be able to draw power from the Earth's core and after that, there's no way to stop it."

"Hey man, my friends are here and I can't help but think we're putting them in danger-" Peter started, but Fury stood up, cutting him off.

"You're worried about us hurting your friends? You? If that's all you're worried about then it's painstakingly clear to me that you were not ready for this!"

Peter didn't responded, just silently made his way up to the rooftop, leaving me with the others.

"Are you being serious?" I asked, running a hand through my hair.
