Smiling?
“Were you looking at us?” She asked sweetly dropping my wrist, and grabbing her hands.
I turned around completely and raised an eyebrow. “No.” I said slowly trying to sound convincing but I wasn’t even fooling a dead person.
She giggled and shook her head. “It’s ok, we get stared at a lot.” She told me, and rocked back and forth.
“Um, not to be rude but why are you talking to me?” I asked as sweet as I can, it was a rude question but she was with Zador Quinn! If I got to hang out with him for a day I would leave his side! Just picture it this time by tomorrow I’ll be on his train, joining his circus.
“I was bored there, and you seem nice so I came here.” She explained, I nodded my head.
Then something wrong went ringing in my head. If Zador or Jenny saw me talking to her they might think I’m trying to kidnap or rape her or molest her! “Um, why don’t you go back to who you were with. I don’t know them to get the wrong idea from you talking to me. Ok, sweetie?” I explained, and glanced up to see if anyone was looking.
“Violet! Sweetie come on!” I heard a female voice say and of course a female showed up in the aisle. Can you guess which female it is! Oh, yes you guess correctly it’s your famous Jenny the lion tamer.
Whippy de do.
“ZADOR!” Jenny yelled, and power walked towards Violet send death glares at me and let me say if looks could kill please send me to the morgue. “Violet you don’t talk to strangers.” I heard Jenny tell Violet still glaring at me.
“But Jenny, she’s not a stranger she’s my friend.” Violet said sweetly, batting her eyelashes at Jenny. And right on time Zador came into the aisle and my breath got caught in my throat.
Boy he is handsome.
“What’s wrong?” he asked walking towards Violet, with so much worry in his eyes that I felt sad. He didn’t even notice me.
“She was trying to kidnap Violet.” Jenny said in such a voice that it seemed like she was the victim. I talk to one kid and I’m accused for kidnap.
Life lesson: Don’t talk to kids.
Violet grunted and rolled her eyes. “She wasn’t trying to kidnap me Jenny.” Violet defended me, I was speechless she doesn’t even know my name and she’s defending me. Plus I couldn’t talk with Zador right in front of me. My heart was picking up in speed my palms were getting sweaty.
Jenny bent down a little and looked Jenny in the eye. “So then why was she talking to you?” she question Violet. I looked between them, ready to open a bag of chips that was in the shopping cart and watch a 12 year old and an 18 year old fight. I was tempted to do just so until I noticed that Zador was looking right at me, his eyes narrowed but in Jenny’s death glare but like him trying to figure something out.
“I went up to her.” Violet said crossing her arms over her chest. I put my lips in my mouth to stop me from laughing, I don’t know why I find this funny it’s clearly nowhere near funny, I might get in some serious trouble just by talking to Violet.
Jenny narrowed her eyes, “What were you two talking about?” she asked, raising an eyebrow up as if it was a challenge.
“Which toilet paper is better to buy.” Violet instantly replied.
Smart girl.
“Really toilet paper?” Jenny question tilting her head to the side.
I let out a sigh, shouldn’t she be question me and not Violet? I don’t get this.
“Jenny, why are you questioning Violet? If you think she was going to kidnap her, shouldn’t you be questioning her?” Zador asked nodding towards me, while he was saying that he never took his eyes off of me. Jenny instantly straightens herself out and narrowed her devilish eyes at me.
Thanks Zador, throw me under the bus.
As Jenny walked past Violet, Violet turned around and stuck her tongue out at Jenny, making Zador hit her gently on the back. I couldn’t help but let a chuckle out, causing Zador turn his attention back onto me. And Jenny raises an eyebrow at me.
“What’s so funny?” she asked, taking a step forward making me step back.
Ok, why are we the whole people in this aisle? Why am I thinking about this? Velda get your mind together!
“Um, I was thinking about I did today.” I lied, with a shrug of my shoulder.
“Like what raping a poor kid?” she snapped at me.
Excuse me? “Excuse me?” this girl really thinks I rape kids; I can barely talk to one.
“Jenny!” Zador exclaimed, “Violet go find Tom.” He said to Violet, “Go with her Jenny.” Zador commanded. Jenny turned around I can just see the confused look on her face. “Go, you wouldn’t want anyone to kidnap her do you?” he question, Jenny grabbed Violet’s hand before she left she whispered something in Zador’s ear, as she did that she never took her eyes off of me. Zador turned his head, “Just go.” Jenny looked offended but she walked out of the aisle with Violet, she waved bye to me and I gave her a slight nod and raised an eyebrow towards Zador. Violet giggled and turned back around. “Were you really trying to kidnap her?” Zador asked me.
Boy he gets the point.
“No, she came and talked to me.” I told her, surprised that I found my voice. Zador took a step closer towards me, his eyes searching me as if he could see if I was lying, once again my breath was caught in my throat as I watch his eyes search me. Finally his eyes reached mine again.
Those blue eyes.
“So, why did she come and talk to you?” he asked, raising an eyebrow and not taking a step back.
I swallowed hard, not wanting to tell him cause I was stalking him, and I couldn’t think properly with him this close. “Um, because I saw you before and I trying to figure out where, and I guess she thought I want to talk to you guys.” It wasn’t a complete lie at least.
Zador looked at me confused, “Where have you seen me before?” he asked, tilting his head to the side slightly.
“I heard that you were coming to my school for the fundraiser, and I saw posters before with you in it.” I told him, wanting to take a step back to breath but I also didn’t want to.
Zador nodded his head, and turned around. Before he left the aisle he turned to me. “Don’t try to kidnap anymore kids.” With that he left the aisle.
I took a deep breath, shell shocked that I got to talk to Zador Quinn and I didn’t faint like how I thought I would’ve. I quickly got everything on Ben’s list and went to the check out. I saw Violet, Zador, Tom, and Jenny in the checkout like next to mine. Violet waved to me, Jenny glared at me, Zador was talking to who I guess was Tom the sword swallower, Tom looked up smiled and said something to Zador making him punch him in the arm.
“Ma’am?” I heard the cashier say, I turned around smiling sweetly at her. “That’ll be $98.25.” she said putting her hand out for the money. I went through my bag and grabbed my credit card and handed it to her. “Come again.” She said as she passed me my credit card and receipt. I nodded my head and put the bags in the shopping cart and headed out of the store.
I finally manage to get all the bags in my car, I got in about to pull out when I saw Zador and them walk past my car, and go in a black pick-up truck.
Fancy.
I pulled out and headed home, singing all the way. It was a sad, crazy, fun, weird day I had to admit but it was the best day of my life probably.
