I sit down on a chair in the cafeteria and lean back, enjoying a few moments drama free. I hear a tray drop on the table in front of me, and my eyes jolt open. I look up to see Jax standing in front of the chair. I push myself up with my arms and sit up in the chair.
"Hey, Jax." I give him a small smile.
"Hey Emma, what's wrong?" He asks.
"Nothing," I lie.
"Okay," he says. I take a bite of my chicken casserole.
