Love Birds - Boku no Hero Academia - Fumikage Tokoyami x Reader

This is a part 2 of my other Tokoyami one shot 'A Misunderstanding' so feel free to go read that first. Help I'm a bit obsessed.

Ever since that day, Tokoyami had been acting shy around you. He avoided eye contact for the most part, and when your eyes did meet, he would get very blushed and embarrassed. You had to admit that what you did was pretty gutsy, but despite his timid demeanour, it paid off. He would often bring you your favourite snack or drink, and you guys met up more often, whether that be to study, train or just hang out.

This time, you two had decided to have a picnic in a nearby park to the school. So, naturally, you went to a convenience store to get some snacks. While walking around, Tokoyami was telling you about the last time he was at Hawks' agency and complaining about him.

"I mean, don't get me wrong, I've grown a lot thanks to him and the device you made for me, but he can just be so annoying sometimes," he groaned.

As if it was scripted, as he was talking, Hawks walked in.

"Well speak of the devil... Maybe you wanna tell him this yourself right now?" You giggled, pointing at the pro-hero at the doors.

Tokoyami turned around, eyes widening, then ducked and pulled you down with him. "Am I cursed or something? Why can't I escape him?"

"Hey, you think you have it bad? What about the disaster boy in your class? It's like trouble follows him everywhere."

"Oh do you mean the kid who smashes up his own fingers?" The familiar voice came from above you. Apparently, Hawks had spotted his intern as he ducked and came to say hi.

You were frozen in place, jaw practically on the floor. Tokoyami rolled his eyes as he stood up, helping you get up as well.

"Fancy seeing you here, sir" he said begrudgingly.

"Oh come on little birdie, don't be all grumpy!" Hawks put his arm around Tokoyami's shoulders. "Ooh and who's this? I didn't know you had a girlfriend!"

You choked on air, averting your eyes, then taking a glance at Tokoyami who seemed just as shocked and awkward as you. That was a touchy subject... While you had confessed to Tokoyami, neither of you had brought it up since; you just kind of left it, no labels, no one did anything about it.

"Oops, looks like I struck a chord there..." Hawks looked between the two of you. "I'll get going, then I'm guessing you love birds have things to discuss..."

"Oh my god they're love BIRDS" You heard him whisper as he walked away. 

"I'm gonna go get us some drinks from the other isle" You sweatdropped, trying to avoid any more awkwardness.

As you turned around, Tokoyami gently grabbed your wrist. "I like you too!" His statement made you freeze in place. 

Still facing your back, he carried on talking. "I'm sorry it took me so long to tell you, but I didn't know how to bring it up again..." He turned you around  to face him and grabbed a flower from a nearby shelf, your favourite flower. "Please go out with me," he said offering it to you. 

Still processing what's happening you only manage to reply "o-okay!" causing a massive smile to spread on Tokoyami's face, which you subconsciously reciprocate, of course.

After you got your snacks, you carried on to the park, making it your first date. Tokoyami swore to kill Hawks for ruining the timing of his confession because it forced him to do it in a grocery store.

AH THE WRIST GRAB! IMMACULATE! Also yes there was flowers next to them COINCIDENTALLY, how convenient, right?
