I saw a child in my dream
Jumping along the grasshoppers
Dancing like the wind
Free as the sky birds
I saw another lad
Sitting on a wooden desk
Eyes venturing the skyscrapers
Free as the ocean water
Then I heard a big roar
Pandemonium of an ineffable force
Two worlds were colliding
Annihilating everything in between
After a while, I watched the children freeze
I looked around and the milieu dressed in new colors
Beautiful and mesmerizing like the dream was
I can't recognize a single thing
Normality started to peel the strangeness away
The wind started moving the grasses
Where I was pinned to Earth
And I couldn't move a limb
I was locked on the core
Still, my eyes could see and wander
And far in the woods
I saw lights spun across in such beauty
Two silhouettes running together
Shadows are reflecting the same darkness
One was lit by the moon
The other by the sun
They ran happily until I found my voice
I tried to call them
And I was surprised, I knew their names
Their heads turned towards me, of faces hard to remember
One started to weep
The other gave a smile
And I did both.
