Hinata's POV

Kenma looked a bit puzzled, but I told him the truth. I think it'd be great for him and Kuroo to get the cutoff done. I was doing a lot better... I think..

Was I?? Well, it's not like Kageyama came to visit me anymore since we-

"Shoyo? Are you alright??" Kenma asked with worry. I looked over at him, not realizing that I had zoned out completely. I've been doing that a lot lately, and getting headaches. The doctors who did the cutoff though said that that would happen, so I'll just take my medicine when Kenma's gone to help.

"I'm okay! Sorry, I just didn't sleep much last night."

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah I'm fine. The doctors just told me that this stuff would be a normal side effect for a while so they gave me medicine for it." I said with a smile. Kenma nodded slowly, but I didn't want to worry him.

"Oh, well then Kuroo and I should leave so you can rest."

"You sure? I don't want you thinking I'm kicking you out."

"You're not. I'll come visit you another time when you're feeling a bit better. Okay?"

"Sure! It was good seeing you." I said with a smile, grabbing Kenma in a hug before watching him and Kuroo leave. Once they were gone, I flicked off the lights to keep it from making my headache worse. Then I wandered over to the kitchen and grabbed the medicine the doctor's prescribed to me.

After I took the pills, I went to my room and laid down. The medicine usually took a little while to work. And I was feeling impatient for it to kick in. Every time before I would take it, I'd get this really... weird and empty feeling in my chest and stomach. Like I was sick. Oh well, it'll go away in a bit.

Kenma's POV

"...Hey Kuroo?"

"Yeah?"

"Didn't you say you have friends who did cutoff before this all started??"

"Yep."

"Can we go visit them?"

"Now???"

"Mhm." I requested. Kuroo shrugged and nodded as we changed directions to go see if his friends were home. Hinata looked all zoned out when I questioned if he was really doing better without Kageyama. And he said something about getting headaches and I guess a lack of sleep after the procedure. It made me wonder if it was normal.

Mini Time Skip to Akaashi and Bokuto's house

"Hey you twoooo, come in!" Bokuto said with a smile. Kuroo and I sat down together while Bokuto, well, I guess it'd be Kotaro to be proper, sat with us. Kotaro's husband, Keiji, sitting with us as well curiously.

"So, what do we owe this visit?"

"Actually, it was Kenma who wanted to see you guys." Kuroo said, Keiji and Kotaro turning their attention to me.

"I just had a few questions.. when you guys had to do the cutoff procedure, did you have headaches as like a side effect?"

"I never did, did you?" Kotaro asked, Keiji shaking his head no.

"Did you guys have any problems sleeping??"

"Not really."

"Did the doctors have to give you prescriptions after it?"

"Uh, no..? It's a simple procedure, they take you both into the same room, remove the marks, and you're done."

"...Huh. Strange.." I mumbled to myself, thinking quietly. Everyone looked a little bit concerned, but didn't ask me further about it. I asked the couple a few more questions, but for the most part, I had the answers I needed. I tugged quietly on Kuroo's sleeve and he excused us.

We both thanked the couple for inviting us in and answering my questions before leaving. While we walked, I held Kuroo's hand and stuck close to him. We were supposed to make an appointment, actually, I think they're walk-in appointments at this point, to get our marks removed. And I don't quite like the feeling I'm getting from what I heard Hinata say.

Bokuto's POV

I shut and locked the door after Kenma and Kuroo left. Keiji walked over to me, looking up at me when I grabbed his waist with a smile.

"What do you suppose that was for?" My husband asked curiously. I shrugged and leaned down to give him a kiss.

"I'm not sure. I mean, I think it's gonna be required or whatever, so maybe Kenma was just worried if it hurt or anything."

"It didn't seem that way. He seemed more than just concerned about wether or not it would hurt."

"Huh, I guess so. But, we don't know him too well, so may as well not intervene." I said with a shrug, Keiji sighing softly and nodding. He wrapped his arms around my neck before lifting one leg to hook it around my waist.

I tilted my head before grinning and placing my hands down so he could lift his other leg. Once both his legs were wrapped around my waist, he gave a spot on my neck a kiss.

Ah, that's it. Time to take him to our room.

Once we were in our bedroom, I laid my husband down and kissed him before yanking his shirt off over his head. While looking down at him, I couldn't help but think about how lucky I am to have found Keiji. After I had the cutoff procedure done, I wasn't sure if I was going to find anyone else.

It was a bit harder finding someone to be my husband after getting rid of my soulmate mark. But, when I finally found him, it was the most and absolutely amazing thing to have ever happen to me. It was like he was my soulmate to begin with.
