"Are you okay, Touka-chan--"

The moment I turned to Touka-chan, her eyes were lifeless and it seemed like her soul was coming out of her. Ah, she fainted.

With her face all pale and exhausted with her mouth wide open, it looked really funny. I couldn't help but release a chuckle.

Ah.. We're both really drenched. Oh, she's still holding my wrist tightly.

"Is everything alright, sir? I think we should rush her to the clinic." The staff said.

"Ah, no need. She'll wake up soon." I said, still chuckling at her.

I wrapped my arms around her and took her out of the car. I carried her in my arms and went to the resting area.

Hehe.. Touka-chan's really funny. A smile crept in my lips.

Little by little, I felt something cool over my forehead. Then, I felt cold from my body being wet but, I could feel a warm cloth over my body.

I could also smell a cool and refreshing scent..

I slowly opened my eyes to see what's happening around me. I waited for my eyes to adjust to the light so, I slightly blinked for a more times.

"You're awake?" A soft and kind voice of a gentle man tickled my ear.

Eh.. White hair? K-Kaneki?!

I immediately sat up from pillowing on his lap.

"W-Where the?" I exclaimed looking around.

"We're the in resting area. Here, have a coffee." He said with a gentle smile as he gave me a can of coffee.

"T-Thanks.." I said taking the can from him.

Oh.. It's warm. I wrapped my hands over the can to feel the warmth it's emitting.

"Touka-chan.." He called in a sweet but, melancholic tone.

"I know why you suddenly took me here.. And that is, you want you want me to forget the pain, right..?" He said.

"But.. You look so sad. It's depressing and at the same time annoying." I stated, looking away so he could not see my blushing face.

"I know.. That's why, thank you.." He gently took my hand and smiled sweetly.

The genuine smile of appreciation.. It's the same as the old Kaneki.. The only difference is.. his eyes held a deep sorrow.

"I had fun.. If it weren't for you, I might have done something crazy.." He said as he scratched his cheek with one finger.

Fun..? You've gotta be kidding me. You don't look happy at all..

"Really, Touka-chan.. I thank you.." He said as he smiled.

"Don't thank me, idiot. You didn't have fun at all.. You're still sad.. Thank me when you're already fine!" I said as I punched his shoulder.

He lightly chuckled.

"I really did have fun with you..!" He said while chuckling.

"Liar. As a punishment, we'll go ride it again!" I declared, standing up.

"Haha.. What time is it already?" He asked.

"I don't care even if it's already this late!" I yelled.

"Well.. We could've ridden more if you didn't pass out." He snickered, teasing me.

"S-Shut up..! It wasn't my fault!" I said, slapping his back.

"Hahaha..!" He laughed.

He finally laughed.. I'm glad that you're somehow happy.. I couldn't help but smile a bit. It feels like I've achieved something big..!

"Ah.. You smiled.." Kaneki said, looking at me, amused.

I noticed his gaze and couldn't help but be embarrassed.

"S-Shut up..!" My cheeks burned up in embarrassment.

"Attention, everyone!" The staff of the amusement park said, coming from the big speakers all around the park.
