Valentines Day - Special Holiday One-Shot.

The morning was just like any other, although a different sort of spring was brought to Donatello's step, and a noticeable note of joy in Leonardo's voice. When Raphael saw how excited the two were acting, he wanted absolutely nothing to do with it, he figured it must've been something stupid anyways. But much to the second oldest's dismay, Michelangelo decided to carelessly ask the blue and purple masked turtle's why they were so happy. The youngest brother was suddenly bombarded with facts about how special February the fourteenth truly was. "I can't believe you haven't heard of Valentine's Day." Donny remarked, utter shock mixing with pure happiness, "VALENTINE'S DAY. Oh, nevermind! Well it's a day where you spend time with the one you love, and buy gifts for them, and go out!" A wide grin appeared on Mikey's face as he heard more and more about this 'Valentine's Day', and an idea came to his mind. "Why don't we all spend Valentine's Day together! It'll be fun!" He eagerly exclaimed.

The reactions he received for his comment varied between each of his brothers. Raphael facepalmed so hard it left a mark on his forehead, Donny shook his head with impatience, and Leonardo decided to clear up what Valentine's Day really meant. "Actually Mikey, Valentine's Day is a holiday you spend with someone you love. Romantically." Blue-grey eyes closed contently at the thought, while a scowl appeared on Mikey's face. "I'm assuming you're gonna go flirt with Karai? Good luck with that!" Raphael snickered quietly, sending a smug look to the oldest turtle. A light blush took hold of Leo's face and he tried to defend himself, although he stuttered uncontrollably. Within seconds the two older brothers were arguing, and amidst the chaos ensuing, Mikey slipped away from the group and headed topside alone. "This is getting ridiculous! I'm going to prepare my gift for April!" Donny grumbled as he stormed off into his lab.

People popped in and out of the lair all day, and it was almost always Leo or Donny preparing to ask two separate girls to be their Valentines. It didn't take long for Casey to become caught up in the romance the day brought, and he began to fight Donatello for April's affection. Things almost became out of hand at one point, and April had to reject both of them to stop the fighting. They were both heartbroken, but the sweet red haired girl promised she'd spend the day with both of them together. On the other hand, Karai had accepted Leonardo's offer to be his Valentine, and the two of them spent a romantic day together.

The evening came sooner then anticipated, and everyone met back in the lair, sitting on the sofa together. On one side sat Leonardo and Karai, who were cuddling and giving each other cute kisses as they flirted. At a distance three more figures were huddled together; Casey, April and Donatello. Since it was obvious that all the two boys wanted to do was argue, April sat between them and kept the peace with happy conversation.

The two boys had to admit that April did make the best decision in the end. She was just trying to keep her friends happy, and that was something they couldn't bring themselves to become upset over, even if they were rejected.

Raphael was the only one sitting alone, and it didn't help that no matter what direction he looked, all he could see were couples. Leonardo and Karai definitely took the crown as the most nauseating to watch, the happy couple flirting with each other and kissing. "You both sicken me." Raphael grumbled in disgust, moving his gaze to April since she wasn't flirting with anyone. "Raph, of course you wouldn't understand. You don't have a Valentine." Leo sighed in a voice laced with annoyance and impatience, although his face said otherwise as a light pink grew on his cheeks. His words immediately angered Raphael, and the enraged feeling forced him to shout, "OH YEAH?! WELL NEITHER DOES MIKEY-- ! Hey... where is he?"

Everyone exchanged confused glances, "Where is... Who?" Donatello asked, slight curiosity showing through his eyes. "What are ya, stupid? Where's Mikey! I haven't seen him since this morning!" Raph exclaimed irritable, causing realisation to quickly take hold of everyone else in the room. Michelangelo had disappeared hours ago! Donatello looked his second oldest brother in the eyes, "I thought he was in his room this whole time."
