it feels like you've resented me since the beginning of time;
blaming your problems on me
and telling mom you think i hate you.
can't you see that it's the opposite?
little do you know
i listen to your tears fall at night,
silently creating an ocean around you.
i try so hard to be your lighthouse when you need help,
yet you prefer the dark fog.
i hope the bitterness one day turns sweet.
i'm ready for you to love me.
