i started to believe the liars.
not because i'm gullible,
but because the truth hurts too much.
i know it's wrong,
but
there's a certain comfort
in never discovering it at all.
maybe someday i'll stop getting on ships
i know are meant to sink,
but for now,
i'll stay blindfolded on board.
