Well that was an encounter, but I've had others. Let's hope he also knew that I figured out "Luca" wasn't his real name. "As long as he doesn't figure out mine."
He was kinda cute too, but could use some work on his defense skills. His height did have an advantage on me but I was able to apprehend him easily. He obviously has some experience in fighting with a lot of work ahead of him.
"Whatever I'm gonna take that shower now."
As the water fell down down my face and body, it felt relieving washing away all the stress and overthinking. Taking away the pain of the bruises from the day before.
I lean my head against the shower wall rethinking the events that happened over the past 24 hours. Went to a dinner party with a bunch of snobs, met a guy in the bathroom, still weirded out by that one, ran away, had an encounter with a prick arriving at this hotel, and finally, getting tackled by a well looking guy moments after arriving. "This was not how I planned for this to go."
After a long, hot shower, I throw on a robe and turn on a movie.
I reach for my necklace as an instinct, but not feeling the cold silver touch on my fingers. I sit up, already distressed. "No no no, where is it." It's the only other memory I have of my parents.
I get up searching frantically around the floor from when the altercation that happened earlier.
It's not here. If it's not here where else would it be. I realize the only other person. "Luca."
But where the hell was I supposed to find him, he gave me an alias. I could most likely try the front desk, it's worth the shot.
*Atticus's POV*
"Where have you been?" I look over at the man hunched over our bar, chugging down the last bit of his drink, setting down the empty glass on the counter.
"I just had a walk around the city, very nice views here." "We're not here for exploring Christopher Columbus, we're here for business and business only. Got that?" "Yea yea, and then back to Irvine." "Exactly, so stay focused on the job here amico."
I make my way to my room as I run into Ash leaning on the door to my room, "So where were you actually tonight and with who?" "What theory are you coming up with this time Ash?" "Oh it's not a theory, you really think Tom would let you walk out this place without any surveillance?" I widen my eyes at the rhetorical question, quickly gaining back my composure.
"Look whatever you think you saw or heard, just drop it. Ok?" He throws his hands up in defense, "Ok no need to get all moody, although I did see you getting all touchy with a certain girl in a hotel room?" I look away at the last statement. "I got you there huh, but I won't tell Tom just to save your ass." "Yea thanks I guess."
"So what's her name?" "I'm not sure, she said it was Raven but I know it was an alias." "Do you think she knew you were using one too?" "I doubt it, she seemed like an average girl." "Yea an average girl that actually apprehended you in a matter of less than 10 seconds." "I was caught off track, if I had known she would've done that then I wouldn't have been so vulnerable." "Yea ok, but anyways I'm gonna head off to bed."
"Hey don't let Tom drink too much." "He went to bed awhile ago." He says as he walks down the hall.
*Y/N's POV*
"Look are you sure you don't ever remember seeing a guy from the description I just described?" "Sweetie I checked all the records and there's no evidence of the guy." *Sweetie? ugh* I give the receptionist a forced sincere smile, "Well thank you for the um help."
I lugged myself back up to my room and grabbed my computer to look into their security system. I had some knowledge of learning how to hack while being stuck with Anne.
After a couple minutes I was able to get into, not much protection was out into it.
"Wow there are a bunch of files here, useless ones too.", I mumble to myself.
Even if it had happened today, it was piled under some other files. But I finally found
it and was able to see when he came into the hotel, barged into my room, when he left, and which way he went.
"If I went through all this trouble to find you to find out you don't have what i'm looking for, I am going to be so pissed."
I grab a jacket, some sweatpants, and throw on some shoes.
After walking around, I finally found the house that looked like he went into from cameras nearby.
I knock the door not expecting an answer. And as I expected, nothing. I wasn't going to give up so easily.
I knocked again for the 6th time and was greeted by buzzer next to me. "Do you know what time it is?" "Yea look I'm looking for a guy here, goes by the name Luca?" "Raven?"
I perk up at the familiar voice coming through the speaker. "Luca, I need you to let me in." "Uh Raven, I would but my friends wouldn't really like a stranger in here, especially in the middle of the night." "It's only 1am and plus it won't take long."
I hear a deep sigh come from the other end, "Fine but please make it quick." "Yea yea."
As I made my way up the stairs to their room, I heard a commotion coming from a nearby room.
I opened the door to the assigned room I was buzzed into and was greeted by the same figure that jumped into my room.
"Hey." "Hey, what was it that was really needed at this time of night, did you miss me that much?" "In your dreams galletto." He smirks at my comment. "Ok look i'm missing a very important necklace and i'm pretty sure you might've grabbed it during that situation."
A puzzled expression comes across his face, "You think I took your necklace?" "No, i'm saying it might've accidentally come off and could've gotten here?" "You mean this one?"
The necklace i'd been looking for came out from his clutched hand. I grabbed it off from his palm.
I embrace him in a hug out of excitement, "You don't know how much this means to me." I feel a pair of arms wrap around my waist."
"Sorry to intrude on this little "moment", but I can't sleep with all this noise."
I pull myself off the tight embrace and turn my head to see a tall, slim, but fit figure walking out a room.
"Yea this was all I came for so i'll be going now, thank you again so much." "Uh yea no problem."
I continue to eye the random figure still standing on the other side of the room.
"What's your name caruccia?" I heard a soft italian accent come off with the last word, husky, mysterious, with a hint of sarcasm. "Raven." "No not your fake name bellissima, what's your real name?" He cocked his head to the side as if he was a lost puppy.
"This tough guy act isn't really something that works on everyone." He smirks as he turns his head to the side. *Geez for an annoying guy, that was kind of attractive. Wait no I don't even know this guy.*
"It's not nice to stare." "I only came here for my necklace ok? It has significant meaning to me and now i'll be going, have a good night "Luca." "Yea of course, but I don't think you should be out this late by yourself."
"I'll be fine, remember earlier today?" "Haha it was a one time thing." I laugh replaying the scene for the fifth time this night.
After saying goodbye, I start heading out and make my way to the entrance of the hotel.
"I am so tired I can sleep through all my alarms." I end up getting distracted by remembering the mysterious guy from a while ago, "Really Y/N? You didn't even see his face and you're already dreaming about him?"
I roll my eyes at my stupid hormones, but end up passing out after the long night.
