•Getting Dates•

Start from the beginning

The Drumstrang student bowed, until she gave an answer. Her friends nodded violently with big grins, whispering 'yes!' To her. "Erm- all right, but what is your name?" She asked to him. The boy stood up with great posture, took her hand, kissed it, and without taking his mouth of her hand; he spoke. "I am Gunther Müller. Son of Amadeus Müller and Loreli Weber." Noemi tried her best to hide her smile, she could tell the rest of the B:B tried as well. "Okay, Gunther. I'll see you on Christmas then."

He nodded, then walked off. Leaving the girls to break out in chuckles. "I'm sorry, but that was so formal!" Laughed Ritisha. "I am Gunther. I must serve my family and bring them honour!" Jada mimicked him. "You are all so mean. I found it quite nice he introduced me to his parents in an...odd way." Noemi tried to defend him. "Well, good luck at the ball with him." Caylin slapped the Hufflepuff's shoulder.

The following day was a mess. Everyone who hadn't gotten a date yet was struggling last minute. It was worse for Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Sam had told the girls that she was pretty sure Potter was trying to ask Cho to the Yule Ball, but just couldn't, and Ron Weasley was the worst one. He tried to ask out Fleur Delacour. It was a sad sight to see, really. Someone had just got asked to the ball, so they were celebrating; when Ronald walked into the courtyard.

"FLEUR DELACOUR! GO TO THE YULE BALL WITH ME!?"

It startled everyone. The French girl looked at him as if he was insane and she just turned around and walked away. Ron fell to the floor when his sister, Ritisha, and a few other Gryffindors helped bring him back to the tower. The Slytherins couldn't help but make fun of him every chance they could get.

During lunch; the girls sat together in silence. None of them were particularly happy, other than, surprisingly, Caylin. Also known as Pythy.

"So, why are you so joyful?" Jada asked, she took a sip of her tea. "Nothing." Caylin hummed back. Noemi gasped and dropped her toast. "Is that a blush I see on your face?!" The Slytherin looked up and quickly pulled her jumper to her cheeks. "Did someone ask you?!" Jada nagged. Caylin responded only by putting her face into her hood even more.

"Oh brilliant, basically everyone has a date other than Jada and I." Sam threw her hands up. "Who's the lucky person?" Ritisha set her tea down. "Oh Merlin! Leave me alone! I'm not telling!" Caylin rolled her eyes. "So we are right! You do have a date!" Jada clapped their hands. "I hate you all so much." "We know!" The B.B said cheerfully.

"That's it. I'm getting a date, I'm not waiting for anyone to ask me any longer." Sam announced to the group. She stood up from the Hufflepuff table, slamming her hands down, and walking off to the Gryffindor table. The B.B's eyes were on her as she walked there. Each step was like a statement to everyone. When she reached the table, Sam took a seat next to the boy of whom she told that she would bring to the ball; about a week or two before. Dean Thomas looked up from his book, and stared at Sam.

"You and I are going to the Yule Ball together."

"Uhhh...okay."

She smiled, the stool up, and walked back to the table.

"And that, my friends, is how to be bold. Now all we need is for Jada to get someone."

"Oh yeah. Great, can't wait, but who though?"

Ritisha wiggled her eyebrows and smiled. "Oh I know exactly who..." She grinned broadly. "No. No! I know what you are thinking, and it is a great no no!" Jada waved their hands in the air.

"Come on! But, you need a date; I don't think he has a date yet. It's perfect!" She smiled, taking a sip of her tea. Jada thought about this. Maybe that would be a good option. Maybe going together, as friends of course, would be better than going alone by themself. "Fine, but ask if he has a date first." They asked. Ritisha gave a thumbs up, and ran quicker than a Seeker spotting the Snitcher to the Gryffindor table.

"Oy, George! I need to ask you som-" Ritisha stopped when she saw that George had his hands intertwined with another hand. He turned around and gave a welcoming smile. "Hello, Ritisha! How may I be of service to you today?"

She let her eyes linger and see as that the hand belonged to one of the Gryffindor Chasers. Angelina Johnson. "Oh, yeah! This is Angelina, my friend, teammate, and most importantly: date to the Yule Ball." He introduced her. "Yeah, hah. I know Angelina." Ritisha smiled. "Yeah, we've met a few times." The other girl gave a very kind smile back.

"Great! So, tell me. What did you need me for?"

Ritisha looked away from his date, then looked back at George. "Uhh yeah hah. Nothing, just wanted to see if you had a date. And if you didn't i was going to make fun of you, and now that you do; well, can't make fun of you now! Welp, I'll be heading back now! Bye!" She excused herself quickly, then ran back to the table.

Jada sat nervously. Not once did they look at the table to see what was happening, they were too scared to see if anything bad was occurring. Ritisha took a seat and didn't know how to start, so she just looked at her friend that sat in front of her. Not knowing how to tell them. "Uhh...Jada?" Ritisha started. Jada looked up. "George has a date already....with Angelina Johnson. One of the Gryffindor Chasers."

The Slytherin awkwardly sat there, not knowing how to feel. Ritisha knew how Jada felt about George, even if they didn't admit it to themselves or others. So, she just watched as Jada stood up and walked to the doors of the Great Hall. Not saying a word.

Ritisha made a move to sit up, but Noemi grabbed her arm. "Leave her be, they want to be alone right now." She told her. "I know, but I can't just leave them-" "Yes you can." Caylin joined in.

The Gryffindor looked at the door, then sat back down. She felt awful, like she caused Jada to feel like this. Although it wasn't her fault, it wasn't her fault that George went up and asked Angelina to be his date and not Jada, or it wasn't her fault that he didn't feel the same way, nor was it her fault that he didn't know how they felt about him. Ritisha looked at her hands while she fiddled with her fingers. "Hey, they'll be alright." Sam said with promise in her voice.

"I know, I just don't want them to get hurt because of me..."

The B.B walked through the fourth floor corridor the following day. Never have they ever been this quiet due to the incident that happened during yesterday's lunch.

They stopped and chose to sit on a bench to watch the snow fall down the sky. Seeing how it would land onto the roofs of Hogwarts and stay there until sometime in February. The lights in towers were on from candles, students reading, studying, or doing some...human body studying up close with each other. Seemed to happen a lot with older students, the B.B never understood why they would do anything like that though.

"Excuse me?" A kind voice came from down the hall.

They all looked and saw a student from Beauxbatons coming to them, they swore she was part Veela. "Yes?" Jada asked, standing up from the bench. "Jada Jankinson would you like to..." The girl's face started to go beat red. "Would you like to go to the Yule Ball with me. As my date?"

Jada wasn't expecting this. They weren't expecting this at all. After what happened yesterday, Jada was planning on going along. "Oh- umm...yes!" The Slytherin grinned madly. "I am so happy to 'ear that!" She ran in and gave Jada a hug hug, her blue hat almost falling off. "By the way, my name 'ez Marié Sinclair." She told, pulling away from the hug.

"My name is, oh wait you already know my name. Well, it's a pleasure to meet you Marie! I can't wait to be your date!"

Marie smiled, then turned and walked away. Her blonde hair flying through the breeze. "Well, that means all of us has our dates!" Caylin said with a clap.

"That means the next step-"

"Is the Yule Ball!" The whole B.B cheered.
